Meaningful Work: From our Community Education Programme to protecting heritage buildings and partnering with faith-based and community organisations, your work will make a tangible difference.

Be part of a collaborative, inclusive, and ambitious culture committed to making a difference and working towards a more sustainable future. Ranked amongst Australia's Top 40 Best Workplaces to Give Back in 2024, we offer fantastic career and development opportunities, with all of our profits going to charity and good causes.

What you'll be doing

  • Support business development activity by providing flexible, specialised and bespoke underwriting solutions for Corporate Clients, working collaboratively with the Regional team, Corporate colleagues and broker partners.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to brokers, clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring queries are resolved promptly, and relationships are built on a clear understanding of each client's unique needs and risk profile.

  • Collaborate with the Product and Underwriting team to ensure all Group Underwriting Referrals are thoroughly researched, underwritten and presented in a timely manner, with outcomes aligned to Ansvar's pricing strategy and risk appetite.

  • Maintain and monitor the risk survey register, including tracking the implementation of requirements and recommendations and determining underwriting action when they are not addressed in a timely manner.

What you'll need to have

  • Demonstrable experience in a technical underwriting or senior corporate broking role, with deep knowledge of Property and Casualty products and exposures.

  • A proven track record in delivering profitable growth across both short-tail and long-tail lines of business.

  • Sound knowledge of the Australian legal and regulatory framework as it applies to general insurance, including APRA Prudential Standards, the Insurance Contracts Act and the GI Code of Practice.

  • Confident and influential communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage stakeholders effectively at all levels internally and externally.

  • An undergraduate degree in Insurance, Business, Finance or a related discipline.

What makes you stand out

  • An ANZIIF qualification at Senior Associate level or above, is highly regarded.
