About the Role
As a Complex Needs Practitioner (Recovery Worker), you will support individuals affected by substance misuse through person-centred interventions that empower them to reduce risk, build resilience, and achieve positive outcomes. Working across community settings and multi-agency partnerships, you will provide tailored support to people referred through health, social care, and community pathways. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality psychosocial interventions within the One Recovery Buckinghamshire (ORB) service.
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of individuals with complex needs related to substance misuse.
- Build positive relationships with service users and their families.
- Complete assessments, care plans, psychosocial interventions, and aftercare support.
- Develop personalised, outcome-focused support plans based on individual strengths and goals.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks, including safeguarding concerns.
- Coordinate support with partner agencies to ensure timely and effective interventions.
- Advocate for service users to access health, social care, housing, and other community services.
- Promote recovery, independence, wellbeing, and harm reduction.
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation in line with GDPR and organisational policies.
- Participate in clinical case discussions and multi-agency meetings.
What We're Looking For
- Understanding of drug, alcohol, and wider health-related issues.
- Experience working with adults in addiction services, housing, social care, mental health, or related settings.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals facing complex challenges.
- Strong communication, organisation, and case management skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and person-centred support approaches.
- Commitment to helping people achieve positive, holistic outcomes and sustained recovery.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.
- Passion for empowering people to make positive changes in their lives.
