Community Project Coordinator

£26,983 per annum (pro rata)

30 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends

GL11 is more than a community hub—it’s a catalyst for change. Rooted in trusted relationships and shaped by local people, we co-create practical solutions to real challenges that put local people at the heart of change. By building the conditions for change at a local level, GL11 bridges the gap between community-led action and wider transformation, proving that when people feel heard, safe, connected, and valued, real change happens.

As a key member of the Community Development team, your super power will be your ability to build trusting relationships with the local community. With your ears and eyes to the ground, you will collaboratively shape future projects with local people, being continually responsive to community needs.

You will act as a volunteer coordinator, ensuring community members have what they need to get involved, make connections and make a difference together.

You will be responsible for planning, staffing, managing and evaluating a range of projects. You will work with a broad range of resources and across many projects enabling teams, including volunteers from the community, to deliver projects which effect change for themselves and others.

You will be able to engage a diverse range of people, sometimes facing complex challenges, in a strengths-based way to build community resilience.

The ideal candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, taking responsibility for their own workload, and building their skills and knowledge as part of an evolving organisation. You will contribute to the safe and supportive culture of GL11, inspiring both partners and community, making sure our vision, values and key aims are a living part of all our work.

This role is based at the GL11 Community Hub in Cam, Gloucestershire with a need for some evening and weekend working. Remote working opportunities are very limited as community connection is an important part of the role.
