Job Description

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate sessions that develop life skills alongside fundamental football skills and techniques;

  • Deliver engaging sessions that promote enjoyment and participation across the Premier League Kicks programme, including disability and girls' provision;

  • Support the delivery of tournaments and matches, including officiating and managing participants, ensuring all young people have equal playing time and experience;

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, parents/carers, community partners and colleagues through clear and consistent communication.

  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and feedback, for monitoring and evaluation requirements;

  • Promote a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all participants, fulfilling safeguarding responsibilities and following Foundation policies and procedures.

Person Specification

  • FA/UEFA qualified football coach, or an appropriate youth work qualification;

  • In-date FA First Aid and FA Safeguarding Children qualifications (or willingness to obtain before starting);

  • A passion for making a difference to young people’s lives;

  • Be reliable, organised, flexible and willing to learn;

  • Be available for evening, weekend and/or holiday work.

Safeguarding

We are committed to ensuring the welfare and protection of all children, young people and adults who take part in our activities, and all staff are expected to share this commitment. All successful candidates will go through safer recruitment checks (including a criminal records check) before commencing employment.

Equalities

We endorse the principle of equality and strive to ensure that all our staff and participants have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate to the full extent of their own ambitions and abilities, and can be assured of an environment in which their rights, dignity and worth are respected.

We want our staff to reflect the diversity of our local community, and we welcome applications from individuals of all age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion of belief and marriage and civil partnership.
