About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical nurse specialist to join Breast Cancer Now’s team of nurses.
The clinical nurse specialist, secondary breast cancer, will act as a resource for Breast Cancer Now, clients, healthcare professionals and the wider public on breast cancer and breast health. They’ll be the clinical lead for the nursing team, the wider organisation and externally on secondary breast cancer.
The clinical nurse specialist will work closely with our other teams across the organisation in the planning and delivery of services that support people with a diagnosis of secondary breast cancer.
About you
You’ll be a registered general nurse, with a relevant qualification in cancer or breast care nursing, either stand-alone or as part of degree studies. With your excellent knowledge of secondary breast cancer and current or very recent experience of working directly with breast cancer patients. You’ll have knowledge and experience of researching and writing health information as well as providing information and support by telephone as well as face to face. As a member of the nursing, healthcare professional engagement and health information team you’ll undertake both formal and informal teaching to a variety or audiences.

Location, hybrid working and salary range
This role is preferably based in our London office. However, we would we consider candidates that can work in either Sheffield, Glasgow or Cardiff. In addition to this there is an expectation that there is a requirement to travel to London for various meetings ideally once a month if based out of either Sheffield, Glasgow or Cardiff.
Our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.
The salary range is:
£48,088 to £51,063 per annum if Cardiff/ Glasgow or Sheffield based
£51,063 to £54,000 per annum if London based
