  • About the role

    The Clinical Administration Team Lead will manage and support the clinical administrative service across our Adult Hospices; St Barnabas and Martlets. They will ensure that high-quality, efficient and responsive administrative systems are in place to support clinical teams in delivering outstanding, patient-centred end-of-life care. They’ll lead a dedicated team, oversee service performance, maintain robust clinical records, and play a key role in ensuring compliance with governance, safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

    Key duties and responsibilities

    · Lead and develop a multi-site clinical administration team, managing rotas, workload, recruitment, induction, appraisals and ongoing development

    · Oversee day-to-day clinical administration services, ensuring robust systems, business continuity and consistent, high standards across all adult services

    · Champion effective use of clinical systems, including electronic patient records, access management, NHS Smartcards and external clinical platforms

    · Drive service improvement, reviewing and streamlining administrative processes, developing SOPs and contributing to projects and change initiatives

    · Work collaboratively and compassionately, building strong relationships with clinical teams, families and external contacts while upholding governance, safeguarding and data protection standards
