JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Cleaner (Zero Hours)

Responsible to: House Manager

Cleaner (Zero Hours)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To keep all area of the house clean and tidy.

This role would suit someone who wants occasional hours and flexibility can be offered around other commitments.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regularly clean and tidy all communal areas, including bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and store rooms and external areas.

Regularly clean the residents’ rooms.

Wash up, including operating the dishwashers and store items away.

Provide cover for holidays and sickness.

Clean internal windows (those which can be reached without the use of steps).

Clear rubbish and empty rubbish bins into appropriate external containers.

Assist with the laundry if required.

Advise the House Coordinator, or Operations Manager in their absence, of any wear or damage to equipment or fittings, or any safety issues or hazards which arise.

Follow the procedures for arranging repairs or emergency assistance.

Maintain confidentiality for residents and volunteers information.
