KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Regularly clean and tidy all communal areas, including bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and store rooms and external areas.
2. Regularly clean the residents’ rooms.
3. Wash up, including operating the dishwashers and store items away.
4. Provide cover for holidays and sickness.
5. Clean internal windows (those which can be reached without the use of steps).
6. Clear rubbish and empty rubbish bins into appropriate external containers.
7. Assist with the laundry if required.
8. Wear appropriate PPE when required.
9. Advise the Resident Services Manager, of any wear or damage to equipment or fittings, or any safety issues or hazards which arise.
10. Have the ability to prepare, cook and serve lunch and tea for the residents if required to do so.
11. Follow the procedures for arranging repairs or emergency assistance.
12. Maintain confidentiality for residents and volunteers information.
13. Attend training courses as required.
14. Any other duties which may be required commensurate with the grading of this post.

This is an opportunity for a motivated and highly organised person who can share our commitment to enhancing the lives of older people. You will be based at our Prestbury House.
You will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of varied meals and to maintain the smooth running of the house in the absence of the House Staff.
Key duties will include:
- Prepare and cook high quality meals from fresh ingredients to include any dietary requirements – you must also be aware of and know how to comply with current allergen legislation.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing up and ensure that the kitchen conforms to Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Standards
- Complete accurate records for the kitchen areas including risk assessments, temperature records and any other information that needs to be recorded to meet current legislation.
- Be responsible for the residents’ welfare in the absence of the House Staff and respond to any queries or emergencies.
4 Days per week on a 2 week rolling rota.
Alternative weekend included
32 hours per week (9am-6pm)
£14.49 PH
Experience of cooking for older people is preferred but not essential.

Duties will include:
- Helping the residents whilst in the communal areas
