We’re a small, friendly supported living service in Wheathampstead, supporting five amazing adults aged 18–60 who each have a learning disability. Our home is full of personality, laughter and everyday moments that make a difference — and we’re looking for a Cleaner to help keep it clean, safe and welcoming for everyone who lives here.

About the role

This is more than just cleaning — it’s about creating a comfortable, happy home where people can thrive.

📍 Wheathampstead (near St Albans & Luton)
🗓 2 days per week: Monday & Friday or Tuesday & Saturday

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Deep cleaning throughout the house
  • Dusting, mopping and vacuuming (including under furniture)
  • Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas
  • Cleaning ceilings and inside windows
  • Managing bins and keeping the outside bin area tidy
  • Cleaning specialist equipment (e.g. wheelchairs, shower chairs)

Your attention to detail will help maintain a safe, hygienic and homely environment for the people we support.

Training and Development

At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
