Children’s and Families Minister, St Andrew’s Watford
Children’s and Families Minister, St Andrew’s Watford
St Andrew’s Watford is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Children’s and Families Minister to help build on significant recent growth and shape the next season of ministry among children and families.
Over the last four years, our worshipping community has grown from around 60 to 130 people, with our children’s ministry expanding from just two children to more than 30 regularly connected with church life. We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team and help develop ministry among children aged 0–11 and their families.
The successful candidate will lead and grow our Sunday children’s ministry, oversee our thriving toddler group, Littlees, help shape intergenerational worship, support family discipleship, and develop new outreach initiatives within the local community. Working alongside the Vicar, staff team and volunteers, they will play a key role in helping children encounter Jesus and supporting families as they grow in faith.
St Andrew’s is a welcoming evangelical Anglican church in the Nascot area of Watford with a vision to be rooted in Jesus, becoming more like him, and sharing his love. We are passionate about serving our local community and helping people of all ages discover life with God.
This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) with a salary of £33,000 FTE (£19,800 pro rata). The post is fixed-term for three years in the first instance.
An Enhanced DBS check is required. There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
