We are looking for a Challenge and Events Officer to support the delivery of our award‑winning events and challenge portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands‑on role in delivering inspiring fundraising experiences that generate vital income for hospice care.

CHALLENGE AND EVENTS OFFICER | £25,000 - £27,000 per annum

Working closely with the Challenge and Events Fundraiser and the Relationship Fundraising Lead, you will support the planning, delivery and administration of a wide range of community‑led and challenge events.

Working in our fundraising team, key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of Dorothy House‑led events and challenge activities
  • Providing administrative and logistical support, including registrations, communications and event coordination
  • Assisting with volunteer coordination, briefings, rotas and on‑the‑day support
  • Supporting the promotion of events and challenges, working with the Marketing and Communications team
  • Ensuring participants receive excellent supporter care and stewardship throughout their journey
  • Maintaining accurate supporter records and communications within the CRM system
  • Supporting income tracking, basic reporting and monitoring under supervision
  • Liaising with third‑party and virtual challenge providers where required
  • Ensuring all fundraising activity is compliant, ethical and delivered safely
  • Representing Dorothy House professionally at events, in the community and at cheque presentations
  • Contributing ideas and feedback to help improve future events and fundraising activity

You will help ensure our events are well organised, engaging and accessible, delivering exceptional supporter journeys from registration through to post‑event stewardship. Through events and challenges, you will help attract new audiences to Dorothy House, raise awareness of hospice care, and support long‑term income growth.
