Catering Assistant Part-Time
About the role
Sidney Sussex College is seeking to appoint a Part-Time Catering Assistant (20 hpw) reporting to the Hall Manager. This post offers an exciting opportunity to work within a professional catering operation at the forefront of raising the overall standards of the food and service to the highest level. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for delivering a high standard of customer care. Applicants should have a friendly flexible working attitude, good communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
This is a permanent, part-time post averaging 20 hours per week which will normally be worked across a 2-week shift system as set out below (subject to operational requirements of the college). The salary is £14,407.50 gross per annum.
Benefits include an annual leave entitlement of 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays pro rata; a contributory pension scheme provided by the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), free College meals when on duty and subsidised membership of the College’s gym facilities. The College is also closed over the Christmas period.
