Post Title: Casual Recreation Assistant – Dry Side

Site Location: BH Live Active - Chamberlayne Leisure Centre – Southampton

Hourly rate: up to £12.71 per hour

Contract Type: Casual

The role:

BH Live Active - Chamberlayne Leisure Centre is recruiting for Dry Side Casual Recreation Assistants, to help with the safe operation of our leisure centre.

You will provide great customer service and ensure high standards of presentation, operational readiness, customer experience and activity delivery across all areas of the site.

Located on Weston Lane and a short walk from Woolston, BH Live Active, Chamberlayne offers access to a well-equipped gym, group exercise classes and sports hall for activities including football, badminton, table tennis and more.

Chamberlayne Leisure Centre also offers a wide range of fitness classes including Les Mills™ BODYPUMP & RPM, Yoga, Pilates and more.

You will:

· Support the delivery of activities, bookings, events and operational programming across the site.

· Supervise the public during their participation of the leisure centre's programme, ensuring their safety and compliance with our rules.

· Clean the centre and its equipment as per the daily cleaning schedules.

· Erect, dismantle and move equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

· Be fully aware of the Centre’s Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Procedures.

· To understand BH Live's Vision and Values and their aims and objectives.

You will need:

· Experience in a customer service, leisure, sport or operational environment.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· To work well as part of a team.

· Able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

· It is desirable that you hold a valid First Aid qualification.
