The role:

BH Live is recruiting for casual Health and Fitness Advisors to join our team at BH Live Active – Pyramids centre in Portsmouth.

Situated in Southsea overlooking the beach and Solent, there is something to suit every activity preference and level of fitness.

The centre has state-of-the-art Technogym fitness equipment in an airy spacious gym with a wide range of functional fitness, strength and cardio activities. There is a dedicated assessment area for those who are new to exercise complete with fitness tracking technology to help set activity goals.

Pyramids has four activity studios. The Glasshouse and Solent each have stunning seaviews. There is also the region’s only dedicated HIIT studio running circuits style HIT classes and a Technogym Group cycle studio. Group exercise classes run seven days a week including Group Cycling, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), Yoga, Pilates and classes as part of the Les MillsTM programme including BodyPump, BodyCombat and Core.

You will:

· Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the gym and ensure the provision of a first-class facility.

· Instruct and provide advice to our customers on safe usage.

· Design, implement and promote gym floor classes, workouts, gym challenges, events and further services.

· Provide fitness advice and training programs for customers.

· Promote and provide a positive experience to all users of the centre.

· Be willing to assist at other sites and departments if needed.

You will need:

· A Level 2 Fitness Instructors Qualification (YMCA, Premier, or equivalent)

· A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.

· Excellent communication skills.

· To be a positive team player.

· Ideally, you will also have previous experience of working within the leisure industry.
