Casual Food & Beverage Supervisor
Application deadline: 10am Monday 10 August 2026

Leeds Playhouse are recruiting for a new casual Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team.
Alongside the other frontline teams (Front of House, Security and Box Office) the Food & Beverage team plays a pivotal role as the public face of the theatre, welcoming audiences and visitors and delivering a first-class customer experience, whilst still ensuring service is fast enough to allow people to enjoy their visit in time before seeing a show. The team efficiently operates the Playhouse Bar, Terrace Bar, Playhouse Kitchen and Front Room Café, proactively maximising sales, especially during periods of great time pressure.
Food & Beverage Supervisors are required to cover all aspects of Food & Beverage service delivery in each of the areas of operation. The Supervisor may oversee more than one area at a time depending on business levels, and will have oversight of a staff group made up of several team members.
Reporting to Food & Beverage management, the Supervisor will monitor and champion the Playhouse standards. They will be responsible for leading their team on shift to ensure the best service is provided to all customers across the range of Food & Beverage services.
We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills, and stories to join us and influence and develop the future of the Playhouse.
Pay for this role is £13.30 per hour on a casual basis, and therefore variable hours depending on the rota. Working pattern will vary, with a mix of both daytime and evening work across Monday to Sunday. We will need staff to also be available to work over our busy festive period, which runs from November through to January.
Benefits at Leeds Playhouse include discounts across our food and drinks, free show tickets and a local gym and swimming discount. Please see our job pack for more benefits we offer.
