Working alongside other Front of House teams, the Food & Beverage Team play a pivotal role in delivering the Leeds Playhouse Experience. The team welcomes audiences and visitors, offering a high-quality catering service delivered at an optimum speed. The team efficiently operates the Playhouse Kitchen, Bars and Front Room Café, proactively maximising sales in a time and service responsive environment.
The role of the Food & Beverage Team Member is to provide service to customers in each of the current areas of the Bar, Kitchen, Coffee Shop and Conference & Events delivery whilst on duty.
We offer flexible shift patterns across our two bars, coffee shop, and restaurant, with opportunities for both daytime and evening work. Our usual operating days are Monday to Saturday, with occasional Sunday shifts available.
This is a casual contract, hours will vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some unsocial hours. Work will be offered on a flexible, “as required” basis. Pay is £12.21 per hour on a casual basis.

We are holding a Front of House Attendant Recruitment Event on the 22 September from 4.30pm-7.30pm.

The form will open on the 17 September, at 1pm, and we will close the form once the event is full. If you do want to attend, please fill in the form as soon as possible after 1pm on Wednesday 17 September to secure your place, as we expect there to be a large number of people interested.
The sign-up form will ask for a few details about yourself such as name, contact details, your right to work in the UK, and where you found out about the role. On the day of the event, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a hot drink and meet some of the Playhouse team. We will then ask you some questions related to the role and person specification in the job pack, in an informal interview style format.

Building Operations and Facilities Assistant Manager

Leeds Playhouse is recruiting for a collaborative, organised, approachable individual to join our Building Operations and Facilities department, in a key role.
The Building Operations and Facilities Assistant Manager is a role that helps to bring together our Security, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Facilities departments together as one team. The role is responsible to the Building Operations and Facilities Manager and will work across all three of our buildings.
Strong and consistent leadership is a key part of this role, ensuring that all staff feel supported, respected, and valued.
They will assist in managing a variety of planned and reactive maintenance programmes and contribute to the safety and well-being of all staff and visitors by ensuring the safe and working operation of the fabric and plant of the Leeds Playhouse buildings.
They will be an integral part of the Security Team, ensuring all building users are safe and that protocols are being followed correctly.
With support from the Housekeeping Supervisor, they will ensure that all spaces are clean and well presented to ensure that all the buildings look their best to help maximise the customer experience.
The post will assist in managing the Facilities Operative and the scheduling of room set ups and activities taking place the building, and to aid in the smooth running of internal and external events.
This is a full-time, permanent contract of 35 hours per week usually worked over five days a week between Monday and Saturday. Evening and weekend work are required for this role. Flexibility in hours will be required, for example to attend call outs to site and to work occasional Sundays.
Pay for this role is £28,660 per year. There may also be occasional call out fees and double time paid between 12am and 7am, when needed.
