Stevenage FC Foundation is seeking highly motivated, responsible, enthusiastic and committed individuals to work within its expanding community programme.
The Foundation is looking to add a number of sessional coaches to the team, to support the delivery of our education and community based programmes. Coaches will lead and assist on programmes school based provision and football development programmes such as After-School Clubs, Junior Kickers, Soccer Camps, Premier League Kicks, Walking Football and Back in the Game.
With the expectation to support other Health & Wellbeing Related programmes, such as: Introduction to Exercise, Live Longer Better, Community Kitchen, Walking Football, Extra Time Hub, Get Set to Go, and the legacy of the Coronavirus Community Careline, where support is required.

Salary: Introduction to Coaching Football (formally known as FA Level 1)- £13 per hour.
UEFA C (formally known as FA Level 2) - £16 per hour.
Unsociable hours work paid at a £20 per hour*.
Job Purpose:
To deliver high quality community based coaching for all ages in Stevenage and surrounding area, enabling individuals to develop their abilities to their potential and enjoy physical activity which will encourage them to sustain activity levels.
The candidate should have previous experience of delivering healthy lifestyle-based programmes, whether that be in a private or grassroots setting. To have a number of other sports coaching qualifications and be computer literate.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver a variety of comprehensive healthy lifestyle activities/exercise sessions in the local community that are age appropriate, meet the needs of individuals and groups which are in accordance with the Foundation’s scheme of work.
Be self-motivated, committed and reliable once assigned work.
• Work with individuals and/or groups from a range of abilities, age ranges and varying backgrounds.
• Be responsible for the correct use and safe keeping of equipment. Ensure that the facilities are checked before use and safe for practical participation.
• Build and support positive working partnerships with existing/new key partners to receive continued funding for delivery of programmes.
Maintain high standards of professional behaviour towards colleagues, young people with whom we engage and the wider general public when working for and wearing SFCF kit.
Develop professional and supportive relationships with all people engaged in the session.
Undertake regular professional development days as set by Stevenage FC Foundation in order to continue own personal development.
Undertake administrative tasks related to the sessions that including updating registers, consent forms, risk assessment, incident and accident forms, writing case studies that demonstrate impact of projects, and recording any outcomes and accreditations achieved by participants using relevant monitoring and evaluation systems.
Have knowledge and experience of (or be willing to develop) working in diverse settings, such as housing estates, youth clubs, leisure centres, public parks and open spaces, schools and colleges.
Have an up to date knowledge of, and adhere to, all Foundation policies and procedures, including those relating to Safeguarding, Health and Safety and emergency procedures, including those of venues where you may be based.
Carry a fully stocked first aid kit when coaching.
• Ability to adapt sessions to fit in with Covid-19 guidance to suit facilities rules and regulations.
Carrying out such other duties as may be reasonably requested by the line manager, or a Director Compliance with the Company’s Code of Conduct and policies contained within the Staff Handbook Compliance.
