Carpenter and Joiner

Jesus College Cambridge are seeking to appoint a Carpenter and Joiner to join our busy Estates Team to undertake day to day maintenance services and skilled tasks primarily associated with carpentry and joinery, on all College properties and buildings.

The Carpenter and Joiner will assist with monitoring the condition of College joinery, reporting the need for minor/major repairs and carry out routine repairs and maintenance. Tasks will include but are not limited to, Joinery repairs, Basic installations e.g. domestic kitchen fitting, Small and medium scale carpentry and joinery projects such as manufacture of joinery items e.g. bookcases, cabinets, doors, windows, gates etc.

The successful candidate will also be expected to assist with the upkeep of the carpentry workshop, tools and surrounding area and with the monitoring of stocks of materials. They will also be required to undertake general maintenance tasks as appropriate.
