Care, Quality and Governance Coordinator

Salary: £32,800 – £39,960 per annum depending on experience 

Hours: 35 per week 

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Hybrid – Home and Derby City

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Care, Quality and Governance Coordinator within our new Derby Drug and Alcohol Service. You will be part of the Derby leadership team, working closely with the City Manager and wider operational leads to ensure the service delivers safe, effective, and high-quality care.

About the role 

As Care, Quality and Governance Coordinator, you will take the lead on all aspects of governance and quality assurance within the service. This includes overseeing incident management processes, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and embedding a strong culture of learning and improvement. Duties include: Leading on incident management systems (including Datix), managing serious incident investigations and reviews, implementing Incident Review Group processes, supporting CQC reporting and notifications, overseeing audits and compliance, developing quality improvement plans and line managing senior practitioners.

About you 

We are looking for someone with experience in governance, compliance or quality roles, ideally within health, social care or substance use services.

You will have experience of incident investigation and audit, an understanding of governance frameworks and CQC requirements, strong organisational and workload management skills, excellent communication and report writing skills, an ability to work with a range of stakeholders, attention to detail and proactive approach and a commitment to equality and diversity.
