Care Assistant – Nights

Leuchie are looking for a night shift care assistant to join our dedicated team providing excellent care for adults with neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

Care responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to guests.
  • Support all aspects of daily living, including personal care and nutrition.
  • Contribute to shift handovers and ongoing care reviews.
  • Support emotional, pastoral and spiritual wellbeing of guests and families.
  • Promote dignity, independence, equality and choice at all times.

Organisation & coordination

  • Support guest admissions and departures, ensuring a warm, welcoming experience.
  • Support guest activities, outings and appointments.

Team & leadership

  • Work collaboratively with care teams to maintain high standards.
  • Support, guide and develop staff, including training where required.

General

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Undertake additional duties as required.

Person Specification

  • Right to work in the UK (essential).
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred due to our rural location).
  • No experience necessary — fully funded training is provided.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Caring and compassionate.
  • Positive, friendly, can-do attitude.
  • Satisfactory Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check required.
