Care Assistant – Basingstoke & Surrounding Areas

£12.40–£14.40 per hour + 45p per mile | Full-time & Part-time | Flexible shifts

We’re recruiting warm, reliable people to join a highly rated local home care provider in Basingstoke. You’ll be part of a small, consistent team supporting adults to live safely and independently in their own homes – with minimum 60-minute visits and plenty of time to build real relationships.

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you’ll visit clients in their own homes across Basingstoke and nearby areas, providing person‑centred support to adults with a range of needs, including:

– Older adults and adults under 65
– People living with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions or physical disabilities

You’ll be supporting with:

– Companionship and conversation
– Help with washing, dressing and personal care
– Medication prompts
– Meal preparation and light household tasks
– Support to get out and about in the community
– Full training is provided — no previous care experience required, just the right values.

Pay, Mileage & Shifts

– £12.40–£14.40 per hour depending on time of shift
45p mileage allowance between visits
– Flexible mornings, evenings and weekend availability

About You

– Naturally caring, patient and empathetic
– A good communicator who can build trust
– Reliable and able to work some early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
– Comfortable working independently once trained
– A car and UK driving licence are highly desirable
