About the Business Intelligence Developer Role

We’re looking for a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business Intelligence team. If you’re passionate about transforming complex data into meaningful Business Intelligence reports, enjoy solving problems, and want your work to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering reliable, high-quality business intelligence that supports operational decision-making, regulatory compliance, and our Digital and Data Strategy. Working with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll design and develop reporting solutions that help ensure our data is trusted, accessible, and drives better outcomes for our residents.

What you’ll be doing

As our Business Intelligence Developer, you will:

  • Design, develop and maintain robust data models, reports and dashboards using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and SSRS.
  • Support the ongoing development of our new enterprise data warehouse alongside the Data Engineer.
  • Produce accurate KPI reporting and statutory returns, including SDR, TSM and Housemark submissions.
  • Optimise and enhance existing reports to improve performance, usability and efficiency.
  • Validate data and maintain high standards of data quality, governance and consistency.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling informed decision-making across the organisation.

About you

You’ll be an analytical thinker with a passion for data and continuous improvement. You’ll combine strong technical skills with the ability to build positive relationships and understand business needs.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and SSRS.
  • Skilled in SQL/T‑SQL development, including querying and optimisation.
  • An excellent understanding of data quality, validation, and reconciliation
  • Experience delivering performance reporting and regulatory returns.
  • The ability to interpret complex business requirements and deliver practical reporting solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Rewards and Benefits

As an Investor in People Platinum organisation, you will be joining a company that creates a supportive, high-performance culture. You can also expect to enjoy an excellent benefits package, including:

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Discretionary festive leave
  • Generous employer pension contribution of up to 15%, plus death in service
