Building Safety and Homes Administrator
Basildon based with a balance of home and office working
£25,844 - £27,209 per year
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 9am-5pm
Temporary position for up to 18 months
We have an opportunity for four Building Safety and Homes Administrators to join our Building Safety and Homes Support team in Basildon. The team consists of six colleagues, led by a team manager, and provides an efficient and comprehensive support and administrative service to the wider Building Safety team.
These roles sit within the Building Safety department which is playing a key role in ensuring that the Group meets all new and existing legislative and regulatory requirements with regard to building safety.
The role of Building Safety and Homes Administrator will include:
- Provide an effective and efficient administration service ensuring provision of services, in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations
- Maintain effective database records and processes to ensure the accurate recording and timely provision of information ensuring they are as user friendly and accessible as possible
- Assist in the production of quality information to support the monitoring of compliance with regulations and service standards and enable statutory and performance reporting
- Support the management and maintenance of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, residents and contractors, identifying any shortfalls in service delivery and escalating where appropriate
Skills and experiences:
- Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
- Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads, both for self and others
- Good communication skills
- Works well within a team-based environment
- Good interpersonal and customer care skills
- Basic knowledge of SAP housing management system or similar
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
