Associate/Assistant Pastor (depending on experience)
Worthing Tabernacle
Worthing Tabernacle is a growing, diverse, bible teaching church with over 120 members, and around 40 children based in the heart of the seaside town of Worthing, West Sussex. We are a warm, independent, conservative-evangelical church and are members of the FIEC and the Sussex Gospel Partnership.
Our mission is to be God's people, proclaiming Jesus.
God's people: We have been gathered together by Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, called from darkness and into Jesus' light through the good news of His death and resurrection. Since Jesus has loved us so much to save us, we love each other too.
Proclaiming Jesus: God's purpose in saving us and gathering us to be His people is that we would proclaim Jesus and all that He has done for us. Everyone has a role in serving this mission of proclamation to Worthing, Sussex and beyond.
We would like to appoint an Associate or Assistant pastor (depending on your experience) to work alongside Pastor Rich Owen and our other elders to provide pastoral leadership and to help with the growing needs of our church.

We anticipate this pastoral worker possessing a high level of emotional and cultural intelligence in sharing biblical wisdom with God's people.
Training - The Associate/Assistant Pastor will use his skills and resources to help equip church members for works of service. Depending on his experience, the pastor will help to develop and deliver a new discipleship program to help raise up leaders within the church. He will share with the current Pastor and others in other aspects of training and discipleship.
