Position Overview:

The Associate, Research Monitoring and Evaluation (RM&E) will be responsible for storing and archiving Room to Read’s program and project data across implementation areas. This role also involves ensuring data quality and conducting extensive field monitoring visits in these areas. Additionally, the Associate, RM&E will assist the Officer, RM&E in planning, managing and implementing assessments, research and other planned RM&E activities for Room to Read’s programs and projects. This is a country office-based position which requires frequent travel to the implementation areas, accounting for more than 50% of the time. The Associate, RM&E will report to Associate Director, RM&E.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Data Storing and Analysis

    :Collect and store program and project data, analyze it, and prepare various presentations to illustrate trends and insights.
  • Data Quality Monitoring (DQM): Conduct data quality monitoring, including data collection, entry, and report preparation. Cross-check reported data with primary data sources to ensure data accuracy and quality. Provide recommendations for GSD reconciliation.

  • Frequent School Visits: Regularly visit Literacy Portfolio (LP) and Gender Equality Portfolio (GEP) schools to review program and project implementation and collect necessary project data and prepare reports with recommendations.

  • Collect and Compile Field Visit Reports: Collect and compile reports from RM&E visits, prepare presentations based on the findings to share with relevant stakeholders.

  • Library Rating for Literacy Program: Verify and analyze Library Rating data activity twice a year.

  • Annual GI Data Collection: Support the collection of Annual Global Indicator Data for the School Room initiative.

  • Monthly PIM Data Management: Cross-check, compile, and analyze monthly PIM data, then prepare presentations based on the findings.

  • Student Tracking Data Analysis: Support the quality checking during data collection, data compilation, and support in analysis of student tracking data, and preparing related presentations.

  • LP Assessments: Assist in conducting assessments for Literacy Program. Take part in data quality monitoring during data collection by external data collectors.

  • Life Skill Assessments for GEP: Support in conducting of Life Skill Assessments for Girls’ Education Program. Take part in data quality monitoring during data collection by extenal data collectors.

  • Assist in Research: Provide support to Officer-RM&E and Sr. Manager-RM&E in planning and conducting CO-led research work.

  • Assessment Data Collection through SurveyCTO: Support Officer, RM&E in designing data collection tool in SurveyCTO. Assist in enumerator training and import data from SurveyCTO platform.

  • Assist RM&E and Program Team: Assist the RM&E and program teams in data collection, ensuring

  • Book Check Out Data: Collect and analyze data related to book checkouts and prepare relevant analysis.

  • Monthly PIM Data Cleaning: Assist Officer, RM&E in cleaning and analyzing monthly PIM data.

  • Project Monitoring: Support in monitoring and assessing project implementation (as required).

  • Program Participation: Participate in various programs and events organized by Room to Read or assigned by Room to Read.

  • Any other assignments as instructed by the Supervisor or Room to Read management.

Qualification:

Required:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university, major in statistics/Education/Social Science or any other relevant subject

  • At least two years of experience in monitoring and research work including, data collection, data quality, data entry and managing database

Technical

  • Strong knowledge in MS Office software is a must

  • Expertise in data quality monitoring is a must

  • Experience and comfort in using computers, web and android-based applications for data collection and analyzing will be an asset

  • Experience in data analysis and preparing analytical reports

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions will be a plus

  • Collect and archive program data, analysis data and prepare different report/presentation
