This role is for 22.5 hours per week to be worked on a rota basis that will include weekends.
What are we looking for?
- Retail Management Experience with a proven ability to run an efficient and effective retail operation, maximising income and profitability from the sale of donated stock.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience supporting, motivating, and developing both paid staff and volunteers through effective communication, training, guidance, and direction.
- A creative eye for visual merchandising, with the ability to create attractive, engaging, and commercially successful shop displays and showrooms.
- Excellent customer service and community engagement skills, acting as a positive ambassador for St Helena and promoting its image within the local community.
- Good organisational and commercial awareness, with the ability to identify sales opportunities and drive shop performance.

Frinton on Sea
- Specialist knowledge of the music industry, including music-related products, collectables, media, or memorabilia, would be a distinct advantage, helping to maximise the value and appeal of relevant donated stock
- Proven experience of retail

CloseWhen you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
