Assistant Director – Pinocchio

Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Director to support our forthcoming production of Pinocchio: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Panto by Christian Patterson, directed by Dan Lloyd, the return of our acclaimed annual panto with live music and the biggest rock, pop and soul hits.

Our ambition for the Assistant Director is to also provide an exciting early career director with an in-depth experience that is not just focussed on the rehearsal process but also encompasses the range of ways a director might work with a theatre to forge a sustainable career journey. It will provide an opportunity that is increasingly rare in the theatre landscape, and is something that Theatr Clwyd has a proven track record of delivering in a way that has a lasting impact on the theatre-maker’s journey and career opportunities.

This opportunity is open to Welsh or Wales-based theatre directors who are based in or have access to a base within 25 miles of Theatr Clwyd in North East Wales, are over the age of 18 who have a demonstrable background in directing theatre and are looking to further develop their practice.
