The Vacancy

Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insight that drives decision making? Do you enjoy solving complex problems and improving processes? Well this could be for you! We’re looking for an Asset Intelligence Officer to join our growing Strategic Asset Data team and play a key role in shaping how we use data to drive continuous improvement and meet business objectives.

This is an exciting new role within a growing function, meaning you’ll have the opportunity to truly make your mark.

About the role

As an Asset Intelligence Officer, you’ll sit at the heart of our Strategic Asset Data team, supporting how we collect, manage, analyse and use data across multiple systems.

Your work will directly support investment planning, compliance, and service delivery, ensuring decisions are based on reliable, high-quality information. You’ll combine data analysis, business analysis, and process improvement, helping us improve how data flows across teams and systems.

You’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders across property investment and asset management, helping them move away from time‑consuming data tasks so they can focus on delivering better outcomes.

If you enjoy variety, collaboration and the chance to influence change, this role offers genuine scope to grow and develop.

Some of the key duties in the role are:

  • Analysing asset data to identify trends, issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Producing reports, dashboards and insights using tools like Excel and Power BI
  • Mapping current (“as-is”) processes and helping design improved (“to-be”) solutions
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions
  • Supporting the integration and consistency of data across systems

About you

You’ll bring with you experience of working in asset management or social housing to help set you up for success, that foundation is key for this role. Alongside this, you’ll have experience working in a data or an analytical role.

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate strong excel skills and ideally would have had used tools such as Power BI, SharePoint or SQL although this isn’t essential, it would just be handy for you to have.

As you’ll be working across the teams, communication is key and you’ll need to be able to translate complex data challenges into practical solutions moving forwards meeting the needs of the customer. You’ll need to be able to adapt your communication style and change techy language into something easy to understand for non-technical audiences.

We work flexibly; you’ll do the majority of your work from home but will be willing and able to travel across our operating areas as needed. We currently have hubs in London, Andover, Devizes, Plymouth and access to lots of third party shared workspaces.

What’s in it for me

We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:
