Salary: £4,517 per annum (£26,469 FTE)

Hours: 8 hours per week, Term Time Only (days/times to be agreed with the successful candidate)

Start date: September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a temporary Art and Design Technician to join our Art Department at Cheadle Hulme School for one year from September 2026.

Overview: 

Cheadle Hulme School is seeking a dedicated and organized casual Art and Design Technician to support our vibrant Art and Design department in delivering exceptional practical lessons across paint, ceramics, textiles, print-making, and photography. Working closely with teaching staff and our full-time technician, you will play a vital role in preparing specialized materials, maintaining equipment, and setting up inspiring student displays.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A Level Qualifications in a relevant discipline

  • Experience working in a similar role in a school environment

  • Experience of stock control and planning the use of resources, equipment and materials

  • Previous experience of working with school age children.

Optional:

  • Previous teaching experience is advantageous
