UNISON Eastern Region is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and resourceful individual to help us to continue to grow our organisation.
Through high profile campaigns, the number of UNISON members and activists in our region increases each year. It’s an exciting time to be a union organiser. Successful candidates will join a winning team that makes a big difference in public service workplaces across the region.
The successful candidate will bring their experience and skills to the role and be able to develop and deliver recruitment and organising initiatives and campaigns in our branches, train and develop stewards, undertake case work, advise, support and mentor branch officers and stewards in representation and negotiation.
You will have excellent presentation skills and communication skills, both face-to-face and written.
A sound understanding of trade unions and their objectives is essential along with a good understanding of UNISON’s policies and objectives.
You will need to be able to travel within Eastern region and to UNISON Centre in London for meetings/training as required.
