Salary: £33,500 - £38,500 depending on experience

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Lead a specialist aquatics service that supports children and young people with complex physical disabilities.

We're looking for an Aquatics & Hydrotherapy Manager to lead our Hydrotherapy Pool and Aquatics Service at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

This is a unique leadership opportunity. Working alongside education, therapy, care and clinical colleagues, you'll ensure our hydrotherapy and aquatic provision is safe, engaging and effective while helping shape the future development of the service.

About the Role

You'll lead the day-to-day operation of our hydrotherapy pool, manage and develop the Aquatics Team, and ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance and service delivery.

Alongside supporting our young people, you'll also maximise use of the facilities, develop external partnerships and help grow community access and income opportunities.

No two days are the same. One day you could be working with therapists to develop aquatic programmes, the next leading your team, reviewing operational compliance or exploring opportunities to increase use of the facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the Hydrotherapy Pool and Aquatics Service
  • Managing, coaching and developing the Aquatics Team
  • Delivering safe, high-quality aquatic provision
  • Working alongside therapy, education and care teams
  • Maintaining compliance, operational standards and pool safety
  • Developing the service and maximising facility utilisation
  • Building community partnerships and supporting income generation

About You

You'll have experience within aquatics, hydrotherapy or leisure together with strong operational and people leadership skills.

You'll be passionate about creating safe, inclusive aquatic environments and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds.

You'll also bring:

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
  • ASA/STA Level 2 Teaching Aquatics
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Strong operational, health & safety and risk management knowledge
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to lead a specialist service where your expertise will directly support children and young people with complex physical disabilities whilst influencing the future development of our aquatics provision.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package alongside the opportunity to join a supportive organisation bringing together education, care, therapy and specialist services.

You’ll have access to a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing and lifestyle, including:

  • Healthcare Cash Plan – claim back everyday health costs such as dental, optical and therapies
  • Access to Enhanced Pension Scheme
  • Death in Service benefit
  • Enhanced maternity, adoption, and paternity leave
  • Employee Assistance Programme and access to our Wellbeing Centre
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Retail and leisure discounts
  • Onsite parking,
