The Vacancy

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Activities Lead who is passionate about personal wellbeing and supporting people with disabilities to live active, independent and fulfilling lives.

This is a rewarding role where you will deliver person-centred activities that promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing. You will help individuals build confidence, develop skills and achieve personal goals in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.

About the Role

You’ll work as part of a team to deliver a varied programme of activities including:

  • Weekly sports and fitness sessions (e.g. Boccia, Kurling, dance, yoga and keep fit)
  • Inclusive group activities that promote physical wellbeing and participation
  • Wellbeing sessions focused on confidence building, mental wellbeing, sleep, hydration, anxiety management and goal setting
  • Creative drama workshops exploring storytelling, character development, and expression through a range of imaginative materials and performance techniques
  • Opportunities for individuals to develop independence, social skills and community engagement

You will plan and deliver engaging sessions, tailor activities to individual needs, and support a person-centred approach that promotes choice, independence and wellbeing.

Working Pattern

Average of 18 hours per week (rotational rota):

  • Week 1: 16 hours
  • Week 2: 22 hours
  • Week 3: 16 hours
  • Pattern then repeats on a rolling basis

Working Days / Times

  • Monday: 9:30am – 4:00pm
  • Tuesday: 12:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 9:30am – 4:00pm
  • Every 3rd Saturday: 9:30am – 4:00pm

About You

You’ll be a people-focused, creative and motivated individual who enjoys inspiring others. You will have a warm and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong relationships and encourage participation.

You should be confident working both independently and as part of a team, with a genuine interest in wellbeing, inclusion and personal development.

Experience working with people with disabilities or delivering activities is highly desirable.
