ACTIVATION TEAM MEMBER | £12.71 - £13.33 per hour
What is an Activation Team Member?
You will be one of the key drivers of our community fundraising. You'll be out and about across our local area, building relationships with businesses, managing our collection boxes, and sparking new fundraising opportunities. It's a role full of variety, purpose and people - ideal for someone who enjoys independence, connection and making a real difference.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Maintain and grow our network of community collection box sites, ensuring all boxes meet charity guidelines and are collected regularly.
- Build strong, positive relationships with local businesses, supporters and volunteers.
- Identify and develop new box locations to increase income and expand our community presence.
- Keep accurate electronic records of all sites and bring boxes and paperwork to Winsley weekly for counting.
- Spot opportunities for additional fundraising within existing sites and help activate them.
- Promote Dorothy House events and deliver promotional materials across the area.
- Support the wider fundraising team, including attending events and assisting with presentations.
- Work alongside volunteers and attend mandatory training and team meetings.

HOURS OF WORK
This is a part time role working 22.5 Hours a week between Monday and Friday,
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for a motivated, personable individual who thrives on building relationships and managing their own workload. You'll bring:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time‑management and prioritisation abilities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.
Due to the nature of the role, you will require a full UK driving licence and have access to a car.
Desirable skills include working knowledge of the local area, and any sales or customer-facing experience you may have.
