Birmingham Newman University is seeking to appoint an Administrator to join its Accommodation and Campus Services Team.

This is a key customer-facing role, supporting the smooth operation of accommodation services and contributing to a positive experience for students and other service users. The successful candidate will bring strong organisational skills, clear communication, excellent customer service, and a high level of attention to detail.

The post holder will provide a wide range of administrative and operational support to the Accommodation and Campus Services Team. This will include responding to enquiries, processing financial and management information, maintaining accurate records, and supporting general office administration. The role involves working closely with the Accommodation Manager to ensure the department operates efficiently and delivers a consistently high standard of customer service.

The role operates on a rota basis Monday to Friday, with some requirement for evening and weekend working to support service delivery.

The successful candidate will hold a qualification in GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications), along with experience in an administrative role and an ability to deliver a high standard of customer service.

Essential experience includes managing financial administrative processes within a department, handling information accurately, maintaining records, and using data to support service monitoring and improvement. Strong organisational skills are required, with the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work accurately in a busy environment. Clear written and verbal communication skills, confidence in dealing with enquiries, attention to detail, reliability, and a professional approach to customer service are essential.

Informal enquiries about this opportunity are very welcome. Please contact Stella Krongko at s.krongko@newman.ac.uk, to discuss the role further.
