  • Brighton College is seeking to appoint a 13+ Admissions Coordinator on a full-time, permanent basis.Director of AdmissionsReporting to:The role of the Admissions Coordinator (13+) demands exceptional communication and administration skills, energy, and enthusiasm, together with a determination to deliver the College’s pupil recruitment targets.Main purpose of the role:Role Overview:

    As the first point of contact for enquiries regarding admission to 13+ entry, you will advise parents about all areas of the admissions process including procedures, scholarship opportunities, timescales and availability of places. You will respond to enquiries and applications with utmost professionalism and efficiency, at every stage communicating the benefits offered by the College and ensuring that prospective parents and pupils enjoy a positive experience of this leading UK school.

    General Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Providing effective and efficient management of enquiries from prospective parents, replying to queries, advising on scholarship and other admissions criteria.
    • Managing and affecting the registration and acceptance of prospective pupils, efficiently processing all applications to ensure records are current and correct and ensuring the timely payment of registrations, deposits, and other fees as appropriate.
    • Overseeing programs for scholarships and events such as Taster Days and other social events for prospective parents and pupils.
    • In association with the Tutor for Admissions, managing and implementing the examination assessment and interview process for prospective pupils.
    • Keeping prospective parents informed about the progress of their applications and about school events and news.
    • Working alongside the other Admissions Coordinators to ensure consistency across entry points and to maintain close links with feeder schools.
    • Liaising with overseas prospective parents and agents as required and overseeing their assessments.
    • Maintaining the admissions databases, ensuring it is up to date and accurate and producing reports as appropriate.
    • Attending Open Mornings and, where possible, events and activities within the school in order to understand as fully as possible the ethos and culture within Brighton College.
    • Updating annually all literature connected with Admissions at 13+ entry.
    • Keeping up to date with HMC and other key guidelines.
    • Supporting the Admissions Department and deputising for other members of the Admissions team when required.
    • Maintaining accurate Excel spreadsheets at all times and ensuring that all essential information is stored effectively and efficiently.
    • Work with the Head of Fourth Form and Deputy Head (Pupils) to provide support and insight on 13+ House Allocations.
    • Meeting parents, prospective pupils, agents, and other invested parties; providing them with a positive experience of the College.
    • Any other reasonable management request.
    Hours of Work:

    Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a 60-minute unpaid lunch break (37.5 hours per week). In addition to this, the post-holder will be required to work a number of Saturdays each year for Open Mornings and other events in which time in lieu will be given. Working hours can be discussed further at interview.

    Remuneration:

    A salary in the range of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum will be offered depending on the candidates skills and experience.

    Holidays:

    23 days, plus bank holidays increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays after 2 years of service.
