We have multiple exciting permanent opportunities to join our Food & Beverage team.
Food & Beverage at the zoo includes a variety of restaurants, serving everything from fast food to traditional family favourites, a Gastro-pub, as well as coffee shops, kiosks our staff canteen and a 450-seat street kitchen serving Indonesian inspired food.
The Role
We have a number of roles available, where duties will include: taking and preparing food and drinks orders, using your barista skills to create hand crafted beverages, cash handing, cleaning of dining areas and supporting our Chef team in the kitchen from time to time. The Food & Beverage team ensure that all duties are performed effectively and efficiently, while maintaining a positive attitude and making visitors a priority every day. You will also support with keeping our coffee shop clean and well stocked and will support in other Food & Beverage outlets when required.
The Package
There are a range of contracts available from 12-20 hours. You will be required to work flexibly doing a variety of shifts on a rota basis including weekends and bank holidays. Hours of work will generally be during our core zoo opening hours, although some evening work with be required for special events such as ‘Into the night’ and ‘The Lanterns’.

The Stonehenge cafe at the visitor centre is grab and go style and offers a range of hot and cold foods to the visitors. Weekend and bank holiday working is required, however, only one in three weekends is usually necessary.
Our cafe provides the social hub of this historic site and you will play a vital part in creating a warm and welcoming environment where our visitors can relax and enjoy high quality food.

As our Assistant Food and Beverage Manager you will support our Food & Beverage Manager to lead, train and coach the Stonehenge Food & Beverage team to deliver the highest standards of food, presentation, safety and customer service.
You will focus on building the capability of the team, driving results to ensure an outstanding customer experience is provided for all our visitors, whilst optimizing opportunities to generate income.
To be considered for the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager position, you will need:
- Experience of working in a leadership role in a food and beverage operation.
- Be able to lead a team to deliver consistently high standards.
- Be comfortable generating profit by meeting revenue targets and controlling costs.
- Have experience of working to HACCP, Food Safety, allergen and labelling legislation, with a full understanding of health and safety in a food and beverage environment and a personal licence.

Job Description
We’re looking for Events Team Members to join our Food & Beverage team at the UK’s number 1 zoo!The Role
As an Events Team Member, you’ll support the smooth running of weddings, parties, conferences, and other exciting events at the zoo, across our stunning events space, The Square, and our award-winning British gastro-pub, The Oakfield. With exciting plans for 2026 and beyond, there’s never been a better time to join us!
Your role will be hands-on, varied, and focused on ensuring every guest enjoys a world-class experience. In addition to event delivery, you will also support Food & Beverage front-of-house duties within the pub and other F&B units as required. You will also take the lead on small conferences, building positive relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact on the day.Duties include:
- Assisting with event setups and pack downs, ensuring spaces look their best
- Welcoming and serving guests with a friendly, professional manner
- Supporting food and beverage service, including serving meals, drinks, and clearing tables
- Leading the delivery of small conferences, liaising with clients and ensuring their requirements are met
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support repeat business and positive feedback
- Supporting front-of-house Food & Beverage operations within the pub and other F&B outlets when required
- Maintaining cleanliness and presentation across event spaces and F&B areas
- Working with colleagues and managers to deliver seamless events from start to finish
The Package
You’ll be working a variety of shifts, including during our core zoo opening hours, as well as early morning or evening work for events such as weddings and corporate functions or late-night opening.
• Permanent contract – 20 hours per week
• £12,698.40 per annum based on 20 hours per week
• Working hours vary based on contract, 5 out of 7 availability. Will include weekends, bank holidays and evenings. Additional hours potentially available during busy periods and overtime will be paid.
• 33 days pro-rata annual leave plus the option to buy or sell up to 5 days

Our Requirements
• Excellent customer service skills, ideally gained in a similar environment such as an event space
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork
• A good level of numeracy and literacy, to help with taking orders, reading menus and processing payments
• Cash handling experience
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a multitude of difference scenarios
• A keen eye for detail and passion for high standards
• Due to licencing requirements, you must be aged 18 or olderDesirable Requirements
• Bar and/or barista experience would be desirable
