About the Role:
The Academic Coordinator will support the delivery of our courses in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Terapia’s MA programme provides training in therapeutic work with children, young people, parents and families from an integrative perspective. This includes major approaches to child psychotherapy and counselling and covers all topics related to children’s mental health.
In addition to the MA in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy and Counselling, Terapia offers the following courses:
- Foundation Course in Adult Counselling Skills
- MA Conversion course
- Diploma in Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychotherapy and Counselling Supervision
This position will report to the Director of Training.
Main Responsibilities:
- Academic planning and course timetabling, liaising with teaching and supervisory staff. Coordinating numerous diaries to ensure teaching/supervision is planned effectively across all course modules checking details and dates are accurate.
- Leading on reporting to Middlesex University on student registrations and student withdrawals from the course. Completing Middlesex’s annual EMER (Educational Monitoring and Enhancement Report) for Terapia. Carrying out preparations for the twice-yearly Assessment Board with Middlesex University and Terapia’s External Examiner.
- Helping with issues relating to Terapia’s psychotherapy regulator, UKCP, including assisting with preparations for Terapia’s Quinquennial (Five-yearly) Review, application approvals and annual CPD renewals. Leading on student applications for UKCP bursaries.
- Organising twice-yearly Programme Voice Group meetings with Student Representatives from each Module and key staff. Preparation for the meeting and taking minutes.
- Scheduling mini vivas (five times a year), liaising with students and the assessment panel. Facilitating the process on the day, collating marks, sending feedback to students in a timely manner.
- Coordinating students’ coursework. Handling Dissertation submissions, disseminating for marking, collating results and sending feedback to students. Handling submissions of Professional Correspondence.

About the Role of the Tŷ Newydd Writing Centre Manager
Tŷ Newydd is a residential centre that welcomes groups of writers to take part in courses to develop their creative writing craft. The Centre is occasionally used for public events, conferences and as a private holiday space. It is a lively and busy centre throughout the year.
The Tŷ Newydd Centre Manager is responsible for managing the Centre on a day-to-day basis. Among the main responsibilities are ensuring that health and safety and risk management systems are in place, leading on welcoming guests and ensuring a high-standard hospitality experience, and managing financial budgets. By working closely with the team at the Centre, the Manager has an overview of catering management, cleaning and gardening services.
The role requires organisation, preparation and a responsibility for solving problems at short notice to ensure that the centre's courses and activities are delivered smoothly. The Manager oversees the coordination of building maintenance and maintains close working relationships with local craftsmen to protect and improve the site.
The Manager also works closely with teams across the organisation, including the Communications Team to promote course sales by feeding data on orders and customers, as well as the Finance Team to budget, make financial forecasts, raise invoices and ensure that all Tŷ Newydd's financial processes are carried out.
The Manager will welcome guests from all over Wales and beyond to Tŷ Newydd, and good Welsh language communication skills are highly desirable for this role.

There is an exciting opportunity at Batimore Lifeboat Station for a Senior Station Technician to join the team. This role would be suitable for someone whose resilience, leadership, and management skills are just as strong as their ability to keep Baltimore's Lifeboat in perfect operational order.
The role of Senior Station Technician is focused for those individuals with an NVQ L4/ Republic of Ireland NFQ Level 5, in an engineering discipline or time served engineering apprenticeship or sound background and experience in mechanical electrical or electronic engineering.
If you do not hold the experience to be appointed a Senior Station Technician, you may be considered for an offer as a Station Technician role in lieu, if successful.

Your role
As a Senior Station Technician, most of your time will be utilised ensuring that the Tamar class ALB and it's equipment work to the highest order, ensuring that the Lifeboat Station is well managed, and assist training volunteer crew members - so that when an emergency shout does occur, you, your crew and your lifeboat will be absolutely prepared.
You will not be the sole individual responsible for the lifeboat and its equipment. Our existing mechanic volunteers are there to support you, your training and maintenance activity. The wider lifeboat staff and volunteers will be there to welcome and support you in all other aspects of the role.
Your role will include:
- Inspiring and motivating your team; managing their progress by leading them on seagoing exercises, conducting shore-based training, identifying ways they can improve and imparting your valuable knowledge
- Meeting and talking to the general public about your station’s work
- Taking a lead on Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment issues, helping to develop a positive culture within the station
- Spending time in the day to day running of the Lifeboat Station; this may be in the form of answering e-mails, ensuring maintenance records are maintained or updating the station’s monthly assurance report.
About you
You’ll have the ability to build effective relationships with volunteers at the lifeboat station, the supporters locally and RNLI staff beyond, while acting as an ambassador for the station and the RNLI within the community.
To be considered for the role of Senior Station Technician at Baltimore Lifeboat Station you will need:
- You will have completed a time served mechanical apprenticeship, or degree in mechanical, electrical and/or electronic engineering; Republic of Ireland NFQ Level 5, England, Wales & Northern Ireland NVQ level 3, and Scotland SVQ Level 5 at a minimum or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- Or a sound background and experience in mechanical, electrical and/or electronic engineering rising to a demonstrable level not less that the professional qualifications stated above.
- Or to be a passed-out RNLI ALB Mechanic, with relevant professional qualifications as stated above, and demonstrable experience to achieve competence in a timely manner.
- To demonstrate leadership and management qualities, and the ability to motivate and maximise people’s potential.
- The capacity and willingness to develop skills in other areas of seagoing duties.
- Knowledge and experience of the operation, maintenance and repair of marine diesels would be desirable, an engineering background and mindset is essential.

This is an emergency response role so the successful candidates would need to live within a reasonable distance from the station and be prepared to respond to a pager 24/7 whilst on duty.

Choir Accompanist
Canbury Singers
Canbury Singers (registered charity 1182027) is a community based choir in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Formed in 2007, as part of the Canbury Arts Trust, by a small group of locals who just wanted to sing, the choir has grown into a 40 strong group of enthusiastic and dedicated singers with a good reputation. Canbury Singers is an affiliated member of Making Music.
We are a friendly, fun loving choir without an audition process comprising a range of members from sight readers to those re-starting singing after some years. We meet on a Monday night (8:15pm-9.45pm) and look to perform two concerts a year together with a few charity and Christmas events including two socials. Members have an eclectic musical interest ranging from choral, religious and secular to jazz and stage musical genres, taking in African-American spirituals, European folk songs and sea shanties along the way. The choir is managed by an active committee who work closely with their Musical Director, Bethan Williams, on repertoire and performance planning.
Responsibilities of the Accompanist
The accompanist would work closely with the Musical Director, Bethan Williams, and assist Bethan in rehearsals by accompanying the choir and taking sectionals when required. They are expected to attend all rehearsals, and to coordinate deputies when necessary. The successful candidate may be invited to take part in Canbury Singers concerts as and when needed, with renumeration at the standard rate (please see below).
Person specification
The successful candidate will be an excellent musician who can demonstrate:
• Accompaniment from piano reduction and standard accompaniment parts proficiently in a sympathetic manner
• An excellent standard of sight-reading
• Support for the choir by score-reading vocal parts
• Harmonisation of warm-up exercises and vocal parts
• The ability to work as part of a team in a flexible manner
• The ability to take sectional rehearsals
• The ability to take rehearsals in the event of absence of the Musical Director
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with the choir and the committee
Pay
Remuneration is £70 for each ninety-minute rehearsal, at a rate of £46.67 per hour (subject to review in 2026)
