Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England.

We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water safely, and compete in all our sports.

We are looking for a Events & Administration Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality events and administrative functions across the South East Region. This is a 1-year fixed-term position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of regional programmes and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and deliver regional awards and recognition programmes, including planning and logistics.
  • Provide administrative support for regional competitions and events.
  • Support regional communications by maintaining the website and managing social media content.
  • Administer volunteer and officials training programmes.
  • Manage the meet licensing process and maintain Para Swimming records.
  • Support our community by responding to enquiries from clubs, counties, and committees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Attend and support regional events, providing on-site coordination and administrative assistance.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage a varied workload to meet deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating events and supporting programme delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of computer literacy, including websites and social media platforms.
  • Flexible approach to working patterns, including evenings and weekends.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of aquatics and experience in a sports or volunteer-led organisation.
  • Experience using content management systems and social media tools.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety standards.

Home-based with travel across the South East Region.
