We’re looking for an Academy Operations Manager to join the team at Bristol City Women’s FC. In this key role, you’ll work with the Academy Manager to ensure our Performance Pathway is safe, high-quality, and fully compliant with FA standards—supporting the development of elite talent every step of the way.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To complete all administrative tasks for the BCWFC Professional-Game Academy (PGA), including player recruitment and exit administration and all registration processes, ensuring that all staff and player records are updated on the Football Administration System (IFAS).
- To work in collaboration with the BCWFC PGA Manager to ensure that the programme adheres to and exceeds all of the PGA licence requirements.
- To work in collaboration with the BCWFC PGA Manager to organise and communicate schedule management and player scheduling / logistics.
- To lead on all travel and transport logistics for home and away match days as well as daily player requirements for the programme. This may include the occasional overnight stay.
- To work in collaboration with the BCWFC First Team Kit manager to develop systems for player and staff kit and equipment coordination, allocation and inventory management.
- To work in collaboration with the BCWFC PGA Manager to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders including training and match facility providers, acting as a professional point of contact for all BCWFC PGA operational matters.
- To attend appropriate meetings and/or CPD opportunities on behalf of BCWFC PGA as appropriate to the role.
- To ensure all required qualifications are maintained through a programme of continuous professional development and complete any training needs identified through performance review processes.
- To assist the Academy Manager in ensuring that the programme is run within budget and meets the FA’s licensing criteria
- Deal promptly and efficiently with any issues which could impact on the delivery of Academy activity
- Work collaboratively with other key external football stakeholders (e.g., Parents/Carers, County FA, Local competitive and community clubs, academies, and schools)
- To support the Academy Manager with additional administrative support as required
- Manage the administration process and support the delivery of the department’s player recruitment process through the management of all trialists and annual trials
- To support the production of, and manage all key Academy information, documentation and statistics
- Be present at training and matchdays
- Collaborate with the safeguarding lead to ensure appropriate safeguarding updates
- Collaborate with the Academy Manager to identify areas for improvement and innovation within the academy structure.
- Explore and implement technology solutions to streamline administrative processes, enhance communication, and improve overall efficiency within the Academy.
- Be an advocate and guardian of the women’s game.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

We currently have an opportunity for a House Keeper and Cleaner to join Peterborough Women’s Aid.
As Housekeeper you will have a pivotal role in the smooth running of our refuges. This includes cleaning, planning and organising maintenance of interior décor, furniture and furnishings, and some maintenance of the garden. Also ensuring rooms are ready for new families, maintaining emergency food and supplies, welcome packs and emergency clothing.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Clean and encourage the residents to actively participate in the day to day cleaning of the refuges

An Area Secretary covers a number of Parishes and is supported by a group of Path Reps and the Society’s ROWG Team. The June Givanni Pan-African Cinema Archive and Afrika Eye Flm Festival have partnered to deliver Curating with Pan-African Cinema Archives, an eight-week paid traineeship for three people delivered in collaboration with the University of Bristol Film & TV Department, the Arnolfini and Watershed’s Pervasive Media Studio.
The June Givanni Pan-African Cinema Archive (JGPACA) was set up officially in 2013, and is a living archive that preserves and values the history of Black cinema globally. At its core is the interest of Pan-African cinema and its relationship with Black British cinema and culture.
About the traineeships
The traineeships will run with weekly sessions from Wednesday 4 March to Wednesday 22 April 2026 with an opportunity to collaborate on a film archive exhibition.
Afrika Eye and the JGPACA welcome applicants of Black heritage with a curiosity and interest in learning about Pan-African cinema.
You do not need to have work experience or any formal training in film or archive curation but should have a keen interest in film and an enthusiasm to learn.
Trainees will have an opportunity to:
- Deepen their understanding of film curation through a structured programme and archival exploration
- Engage critically with materials from JGPACA, considering curatorial responsibility, diasporic memory, historical context and the politics of representation
- Research, reflect and share how a programme might be curated within a specific cultural context, touching on themes, ideas and objects
- Explore setting a screening within a wider arts context (using music, photography, dance etc) and examine how this might offer an enhanced experience and develop audience engagement
- Carry out a research task exploring local subject material might offer specific curatorial opportunities (stories, photography, short films, museum collections).
As well as workshop sessions, trainees will have opportunities to:
- Watch and research Pan-African cinema tailored to their interests
- Attend local events to enhance their learning
- Read relevant books and resources
- Create their own film event based on their learning

Trainee bursary
Each trainee will be allocated a bursary of £784, inclusive of tax. There are no travel or other expenses included, but trainees will be provided with learning resources.
This bursary is based on a £14 per hour hourly rate, for 56 hours over the eight weeks. The total learning hours in the weekly sessions will be 27 hours, with a remaining 29 hours to contribute towards optional weekly film screenings, local event attendance and creation of a final exhibit.

The Department of Sociology and Social Policy brings together scholars with international research experience and publication records in the major areas of Sociology and Social Policy. Over the years, our faculty members have been the recipients of the University’s Research Excellence Award and Teaching Excellence Award. The Department offers undergraduate teaching in Sociology, Social and Public Policy, and Health and Social Services Management, while hosting an MSocSc Programme in Comparative Social Policy (International) (IMCSP). We have been consistently successful in attracting MPhil and PhD students from around the world, particularly the recipients of the Hong Kong RGC Junior Research Fellow Scheme, and obtaining the General Research Fund (GRF) and other external competitive grants. Applicants should have a PhD degree in Sociology, Social Policy, Social Work, Health Studies or other related disciplines, with relevant teaching experience. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are essential. The appointee should be able to take up teaching duties in some of the courses on the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) Programme, including but not limited to: “Introduction to Health and Social Care”, “Fundraising and Programme Evaluation”, “Health and Social Service Provisions for Special Populations”, “Health and Social Service Project” and “Social Innovation & Social Enterprises”. The appointee should be prepared to actively support the coordination and development of our teaching programmes.

Becoming a Collection Management Volunteer An exciting opportunity to support the art collection curation and management has arisen, and we are looking for an individual with an interest in arts in health, collection management and conservation and experience working in the arts to assist with various collection management duties. These include: • Research: researching the provenance and value of some of our key works of art and producing informative interpretation to go alongside artwork on display. • Accessioning and deaccessioning: assisting with accepting donations, loans and acquisitions of new works of art to the collection, as well as deaccessioning works which cannot be displayed via auctions, sales and donations. • Condition checking: undertaking checks on artworks to produce reports on their condition and reporting on their needs regarding conservation and restoration. • Curation: assisting with the curation of new works in wards, departments and public areas, and facilitating installation days with technicians and assisting with exhibitions. • Cataloguing: maintaining our arts database and updating records to reflect new installations and conservation work, or to add/remove artworks from the collection. • Printed and guided tours: facilitating and assisting with guided tours of the collection and distributing printed media. About the Assistant Artefact Conservator role:
The artefact conservation team works across several disciplines including archaeology, decorative arts, sculpture, ethnographic, military and Scottish history collections. You will bring your conservation knowledge to our exhibitions, displays, loans and collections programmes. You will have a recognised conservation degree and be able to work, independently and collaboratively, on the examination and treatment of artefacts, and advise on their safe display and storage. Responsibilities include documenting the condition and treatments of objects, so good IT skills are required.
You will be a team player, who is able to work to tight deadlines and effectively plan, prioritise and risk assess your work programme. You will also have an enthusiasm for conservation and be able to communicate this to our audiences.
As an Assistant Artefact Conservator at National MuseumsScotland you will:
- To apply specialist conservation knowledge to National Museums Scotland’s conservation programmes
- To carry out practical conservation on artefacts of a wide range of material, period and provenance.
- To work closely with exhibition, curatorial and other key sectors in the museum, normally under guidance, to provide the conservation necessary to ensure that deadlines for exhibition, display and care of collections are met

Choral Rehearsal and Concert Accompanist

Moorland Voices (MV) choir was founded in January 2014, and is based in Cheadle, Staffordshire. The choir’s performances are mainly based in Staffordshire but they have also undertaken short tours in Holland, South Africa and Norfolk. Repertoire includes music from various genres, including Classical, Choral to Jazz, Folk and Rock. This small choir, around 30 people, benefits from a community of experienced musicians and committee members, and enjoys a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They rehearse on a Tuesday evening.
The current Musical Director, Mark Goodhew, was the accompanist for the choir for many years and is Organist at Stoke Minster as well as a solo performer and has worked with musical groups for many years.
The Choir is now looking for a talented accompanist to join the musical team, providing support for rehearsals, undertaking some choral direction, and playing an active part in our concert programme.
MV Accompanist Role Description/Person Specification
Role description:
The role of the Accompanist supports the role of Musical Director through playing the piano at weekly rehearsals and leading full rehearsals in the absence of the Musical Director.
Specific responsibilities are:
• Normally to accompany the choir from the piano at weekly rehearsals
• Ensuring adequate preparation of scores, including supporting the choral lines when needed
• Accompanying in a sensitive and helpful manner, judging independently what will be of most benefit to the choir
• Following the direction of the Musical Director
• Normally leading full rehearsals in the absence of the Music Director, following an agreed rehearsal plan and including vocal warm-ups.
• In case of a necessary absence, booking a suitable deputy from an approved list

The keyboard accompanist is often needed at concerts, on occasion other instrumentalists maybe required and support in finding suitable musicians would be of added value to the Musical Director.

• A keyboard accompanist of the highest standard (Equivalent of Grade 8 ABRSM level or higher).
• Excellent sight-reading skills with well-developed facility in reading choral parts from score to assist the choir in their learning stages.
• Ability to assimilate orchestral reductions effectively
• Good rehearsal accompaniment skills, anticipating the direction of a rehearsal
• A generosity of approach, sympathetic to the needs of amateur musicians
• Willingness to work as part of a team and to be flexible in any unforeseen situations

MV Accompanist terms
This role is offered on a self-employed basis, remuneration dependent on experience at £30/35 per rehearsal (1.5 hours), reviewed annually. Rehearsals are normally one and half hours in duration, and take place on a Tuesday evening 8.00pm-9.30pm. Concert Fees vary and will be negotiated separately. The normal rehearsal venue is Freehay Village Hall near Tean, Staffordshire, although once a month rehearsal take place at Great Bridgeford Village Hall in Staffordshire.

Job Title: Admissions Officer Responsible to: __________________________________________________________________________ The Head Role Overview The post holder will primarily be responsible for all aspects of international admissions into both the Prep and Senior Schools. They will be working within a team, and as such, will also become involved in all aspects of the wider admissions process for the Prep and Senior Schools.
