Age UK Lancashire are looking for an Administration Assistant to provide vital
support to our Living Well Support Service.
Nobody wants to stay in hospital for longer than they need to, and the pressure on
the NHS to discharge patients as soon as they are medically fit is considerable.
Providing essential support to patients over the age of 18 who are both at risk of
admission and have been discharged from hospital, the Living Well Support Service:
• Take patients home directly from the hospital and settle them back at home.• Provide continued support for up to 6 weeks, supporting people to remain independent.• Provide support to those individuals who are at risk of admission.
Based at Padiham Town Hall with some expectation of travel to Royal Blackburn or
Burnley General Hospital sites, you will provide support to the team with data
management and day to day administration, including contributing to the preparation
of monthly and quarterly reports.
The successful applicant should have:

I have ADHD and ASD I am non-verbal and have no sense of danger, I tend to run if I am given the opportunity, I do not eat any food, but I have supplemented milk drinks. This position is 2:1 role and to be worked with another personal assistant.

To take me out in the community.

This is a part-time role working a minimum of 6 hours per week from April to October, and then switching to a zero-hour contract from November to March. There is also the potential to overtime during our busy times such as school holidays, bank holiday and site lead events.
As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will help to prepare food and drinks from the best of regional and local produce at Eltham Palace working as part of a team to support the day-to-day operations. Duties may vary depending on the day, but you can expect to be:
- Taking and preparing food and drink orders
- Assisting with food preparation in our kitchen
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Ensuring a perfect standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout
- Providing support during our events
About You
To be a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will:
- understand what makes excellent customer service and enjoy delivering this to our customers
- be able to engage in a positive way with people from all backgrounds
- enjoy working as a team
Experience of working in a food and beverage role and an awareness of food safety and allergens would help but it isn't essential as full training will be provided. For us, it's more important that you have bags of enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
