We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist to help us build a healthier nation at our club. We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist who will deliver Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes utilising the unique Nuffield Health pathway, championing the Charitable Purpose. This role will play a crucial part in Nuffield’s long-term vision for clinical rehabilitation and will require the Rehabilitation Specialist to undertake remote (digital) and in person facilitation of exercise, emotion wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting to aid the participants recovery. The pathway will involve weekly 1to1s, group exercise classes (virtual and in person), promote goal setting and self-directed activity.

You will demonstrate leadership and influencing skills, be a good communicator, organised and self-motived. As part of this role, you will work collaboratively onsite, centrally and with our Charity team and our beneficiaries. You will need excellent IT skills and hold a Level 3 Personal trainer qualification which is essential for the role. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a Rehabilitation Specialist position and an understanding of rehabilitation, along with potentially a Bsc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation (desired not essential).

As a Rehabilitation Specialist you will:  

• Organise and run a series of rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.

• Facilitate and deliver both live stream and in person group exercise classes, with people that have varying degrees of abilities and physical function.

• Be able to promote self-directed activity using pre-recorded on demand classes and a journal which will aid in the participants being able to self-manage their condition after the 12-week Programme.

• Capability to re-calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular improvements demonstrated by changes in both effort and performance.

• Identify any deterioration of participants and if necessary follow internal escalation processes, ensuring reporting is processed within a specific timeframe and that outcome data is accurately captured, which is essential in supporting our Charitable Purpose and tracking and monitoring participants progress.

• Engage in 1to1 telephone conversations each week with every participant to offer coaching in terms of setting short term and long-term goals, understanding restrictions, monitoring progress, understanding and offering emotional wellbeing support, and empowering self-directed activity.

Key Responsibilities

• The timely construction of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans.
• Review and adaptation of PBS plans in response to the level of need and best practice.
• Gathering information from a range of sources; direct observation, written, verbal and through supportive questioning of the person and support staff.
• Liaison with staff teams across the patch to aid with broader behavioural support needs.
• Support Team Managers to implement PBS plans.
• Work in collaboration with Health and social care professionals involved in the care and support of our individuals.
• Support teams to create their own specific aids for the people we care for such as social stories, augmentative communication aids and sensory support.

Young Peoples Practitioner - WEST EIM

What will the role look like?

Commissioned by West Leeds AIP, the postholder will work across schools and education settings within the West Silc’s catchment. The postholder will provide creative and strength based interventions to young people referred for support due to risks outside the home (CSE/CGE) IT is expected that interventions will enable young people to overcome barriers and to reengage with education and learning.

What we are looking for? 

The post holder will be expected to  provide mentoring and intensive support for young people referred to the service. Provide access to a range of interventions that are planned around the needs of the young person. This could include group work, one to one support and access to holiday activities. Support the wider family as required, strengthening attachments and improving relationships. And advocate with schools and other professionals involved.

We are ideally looking for an immediate start.

The primary aim of The Door is to accompany young people and help them to identify and meet their needs.
Our Youthwork Team exists because young people need the safety and security of non-judgmental role
models, to guide their development to become positive members of society.

The role of the Sessional Youthworker is to work alongside Community Youthworkers providing safe and
secure social environments for all young people to meet, and to build long-lasting positive relationships with
those young people.

Job Description – Service Manager – Mediation and Child Contact Services

Overall purpose of role

Kapella’s core focus is to build better relationships and improve the wellbeing of families
and individuals.  We pride ourselves on offering accessible and affordable services,
including counselling, family mediation, training and domestic abuse programmes across
the wider Birmingham and Black Country area, with self-paying clients as well as funded
work through contracts, grants and partnerships.

Our Mediation and Child Contact Services aims to help guide families to conflict
resolution, support separated parents and provide safe, child focused contact.

As the Service Manager, you’ll be instrumental in developing and shaping this service,
alongside establishing and overseeing new child contact centre services.

This role combines service leadership with operational management, focusing on quality
assurance, safeguarding and continuous improvement, and achieving sustainable growth.

Service Leadership and Development
•  Work with the Chief Executive to develop the current service offering in line with the

Location of the post: Coalville, Leicestershire.

Hours: 9:45pm – 8am (4 shifts on, 4 shifts off) 

This post carries a salary enhancement in the form of a Night Shift Premium allowance in recognition of the unsociable hours element of the role (Calculated at a third of hourly rate)

Marjorie House, our beautiful new home in Coalville supports children & young people between 8-18 years with a complex range of risk and behaviours. The service provides up to 3 service users at any one-time opportunities to enjoy different experiences, establish friendships and develop confidence, independence and social/emotional skills.

Some of the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• To build trust and develop nurturing relationships which promote the service user's independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
• To work in partnership and build relationships with parents/carers and other professionals.
• To contribute to the upkeep of the home including cooking, cleaning etc.
• To document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
• To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.
• To promote, monitor and maintain a safe environment at all times.

Essential requirements to evidence in your written application:

• Must have a valid drivers licence and access to own vehicle (due to shift times/commute to work)
• Must hold the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare ORbe willing to successfully achieve this within the required timeframe.
• Must be motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in young people's lives, creating a safe space and building resilience.
• Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding and protection of vulnerable children & young people.
• Flexibility to commit to sleep-ins and shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Relevant experience working with children & young people is desirable, but not essential with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• There is an expectation for night staff to make themselves available during the day with advance notice at scheduled times to attend mandatory training and ongoing group supervision and consultation in line with duties related to their role.

Service Overview: Barnardo's, the UK's largest Children's Charity are currently on an exciting and innovative Journey alongside Leicestershire County Council to deliver a range of Children's homes for the most vulnerable children & young people in Leicestershire.

Although this home will be your base location, you must be flexible to travel throughout the locality to cover shifts in our other Leicestershire homes on occasion, should the need arise.
