We’re currently looking for a Relief Rehabilitation Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated Acquired Brain Injury Service team in Dumfries.
In this role, you’ll take a person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brain injury, helping them to work toward their personal goals and maintain independence. Every day is different — you might be providing one-to-one support, helping someone participate in a community activity, or offering gentle encouragement as they rebuild skills and confidence.
The role includes some physical activity, such as providing support with mobility and pushing wheelchairs. The position is offered on a relief basis, and cover may be required between Monday and Thursday, 10am–4pm on an ad hoc basis. While our base is in Dumfries, a flexible approach to service delivery is essential, as some work may take place in different community settings.

About the Role
We are currently looking to appoint a Recovery Worker to join our dynamic, multi-agency team at The Harbour. This role involves providing holistic, person-centred support to adult service users entering the service and coordinating their treatment journey.
As a Recovery Worker, you will play a key role in assessment, care coordination, delivery of psychosocial structured interventions (PSI), and multi-agency working, supporting individuals to achieve meaningful and sustainable recovery outcomes.
Working under the direction of the Team Leader, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team developing and delivering high-quality drug and alcohol services across Lambeth.
What You’ll Do
Manage a caseload of service users, regularly reviewing ongoing care and treatment
Liaise closely with a full range of specialist workers within the multi-agency team, including family members and significant others where appropriate
Work in partnership and undertake joint key working to support progression from semi-structured to structured psychosocial interventions
Support service users to access resources and services that increase recovery capital and help them achieve their recovery goals
Promote family, carer and service user involvement throughout treatment and recovery planning
Use excellent communication and therapeutic skills when working with service users, carers and partner agencies
Work collaboratively with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams, providing advice and guidance through meetings, reviews, group supervision and telephone support
Coordinate individual recovery plans effectively
Improve outcomes for children of service users by reducing the impact of drug- and alcohol-related harm on family life and promoting positive family involvement in treatment
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need to be:
Passionate about supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use through a recovery-focused, person-centred approach

About the role:
The purpose of this role is to provide early support to unpaid carers across Aberdeenshire who are caring for an individual who requires support to be included in the discharge planning process from hospital. You will make an effective contribution to the provision of appropriate information, advice, support, guidance and access to services for unpaid carers. About the Role
Working in the HOPE team is an exciting and varied role that combines outreach, community engagement, and harm reduction. The team works across the city, building relationships with individuals and communities who may be difficult to engage. The role involves providing practical support through the needle and syringe programme, working alongside people with complex needs, and promoting safer practices. It also includes delivering training, attending events and working closely with partner organisations to raise awareness of the service and ensure people can access the right support at the right time.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Children, Youth & Schools Worker, based at
Illingworth Moor Methodist Church, Keighley Road, Halifax, HX2 9LL.
If you’re passionate about sharing God’s love with children, young people and families, and excited
about growing faith with those groups, then we’d love to hear from you. We are looking for
someone who can develop our existing children, youth and schools’ work and explore new
initiatives to support families within the church and wider community. Previous experience of
working with children and young people in a paid or voluntary capacity is essential.

Qualifications / Experience
Successful candidates will ideally need to have:
- You will need to have experience of working with children or adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities, Autism, sensory impairment, and/or complex care needs. You will ideally be able to demonstrate experience of administering PEG feeds and using hoists for moving and handling.
- A background in nursing would be beneficial as you will be supporting children with complex health care needs.
