A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic colleague to join our Development Office. As our Development Assistant, the post-holder will be responsible for research, gift-processing and maintaining donor records as well as supporting events.
The successful candidate will ideally have strong administrative skills and the ability to use and build on those transferable skills in order to carry out this role. Experience of having used Raiser’s Edge or a comparable fundraising data management system would be ideal, however, full training in the functionality of the Raiser’s Edge database will be provided for the right candidate early on in their employment.
Previous experience in the education or charitable sectors would be advantageous.
This is an office-based role. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm during term time and 8.00am – 4.30pm during school holidays.
The post offers 28 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and two weeks at Christmas when the School is closed.
The salary will be commensurate with the post and will depend upon qualifications and experience.

Ensure all payments received via all methods are processed into the relevant core business systems within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

Process invoices against approved purchase / service orders in the accounting / ordering system to include booking-in services and arranging approval of service and estimated price invoices.

Process refunds, cancellation / take away payments onto the core business systems and accounting system to meet SLAs and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) best practice guidelines.

Produce payment runs, including BACS and cheques, from the accounting system and core business systems, ensuring due dates are checked, together with setting up electronic payments into the banking payments platform to include payments to overseas banks and urgent faster payments.

Prepare reconciliations of key operational bank accounts, nominal, bordereaux etc.

Standard shifts are 12 hours and 20 minutes, 37 hours per week working across 3 days.
We also have Casual hours available for those seeking more flexibility

About you
You will need:
- Good communication skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- To be compassionate and patient
- Ideally some experience in a caring industry, for example hospitality or schools
- To pass our DBS check or be on the DBS Update Service
Even better if you have previous experience of a care environment, providing personal care or knowledge of dementia.

About the Night Care Assistant role
As a Night Care Assistant in our Children’s Residential Services, you’ll support young people aged 5–19 during the overnight period.
This role focuses on:
- Calm, reassuring presence.
- Safety and wellbeing monitoring
- Dignified personal care.
- Maintaining a peaceful, well-run home environment
No previous experience is required — full training is provided.
Key responsibilities
- Providing person-centred overnight care, including personal care and wellbeing checks
- Monitoring health and responding calmly to any incidents or distress
- Completing night-time care records and logs accurately
- Supporting with cleaning, laundry, and light housekeeping
- Following individual care plans, behaviour support plans, and safeguarding procedures
- Working as part of a professional multidisciplinary team
What we’re looking for
Essential:
- A calm, caring and professional approach.
- Ability to remain alert and responsible throughout night shifts.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to complete:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (unless already held)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience supporting children or young people.
- Understanding of epilepsy, autism, or complex needs
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence.
