Job Role
Join our team as an Accommodation Support Officer and support our participants with their housing needs.
You’ll work with a caseload of adult males either residing within a custody environment or on license within the community. environment. In partnership with probation practitioners, you’ll complete initial assessments to understand their specific needs, and then create tailored accommodation plans to meet this through an agreed number of interventions. This will include ensuring that the participants are aware of any decisions that affect them, plus informing them of their rights within the process.

This role involves driving, so you must hold a full UK driving licence.

IT Assistant Job Description (Reference number: IT26000) The IT Assistant is employed by The College of St Mary Magdalen in the University of Oxford (the “College”), and is responsible under them to the Home Bursar. We are recruiting for a Therapeutic Worker to join our specialist Family Residential Service in Sheffield. The service provides drug and alcohol recovery support for parents and their children in a residential setting.
The Role
Your role in our therapeutic community will be key. You’ll manage a caseload, assess the people who use our service and manage their care plans. It will mean developing and applying a range of therapeutic approaches to meet their individual needs, whether that’s employment, education, health, or their ability to interact socially. You’ll be the one who sees that everything is coordinated from the moment they’re referred to us to the time that they leave.
As a Therapeutic Worker, you will support individuals accessing the residential rehabilitation programme to achieve outcomes that help create long-term recovery. Using the Therapeutic Community “community as method” model you will empower individuals, families and communities to be confident about recovery.
You will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring service user needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery in line with a recovery orientated system of care and the Quality Principles. Managing a service user case load, providing end-to-end care co-ordination from admission to discharge planning ensuring care plans meet the needs of both service users and stakeholders. Whilst also being confident to deliver therapeutic groups, activities, and specialised interventions in accordance with the TC manual and the needs of the service.
Previous experience is desirable, however not essential. Support Workers come from many different backgrounds and experiences, and you may have the skills required. We are seeking dedicated individuals, based on your values, willingness to learn new skills and the compassion to deliver the best service possible to our residents.
This is a full-time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week. You will be expected to work a 6-week rolling rota which includes evening and weekend working.
The service is based close to Eccelsall Road/Sheffield Hallam Collegiate Campus area of Sheffield, it is easily accessible. Situated in a large Victorian Building, fully refurbished in 2022, there is free on-site parking as well and is also easily access by multiple bus routes.

About You
You will need:
- An understanding of the complex issues presented by individuals within drug and alcohol recovery.
- Experience of working with families, and individuals in the substance use sector or related field.
- The ability to be innovative and be flexible in order to meet the needs of the service.
- Be able to work effectively with multi-agencies, whilst maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
- Knowledge of adult and child protection and safeguarding essential as you will be working with vulnerable families in a residential setting.

Veterinary Behaviourist
Are you an experienced veterinary surgeon with experience of taking care of dogs with a range of different behavioural signs? Do you want to be a part of a team that makes a difference to the lives of dogs in need? If so, we would love to hear from you!
In this role you’ll provide specialist guidance in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine, supporting Training, Behaviour and Veterinary teams across Dogs Trust Rehoming Centres. Your expertise will help identify links between health and behaviour and ensure behavioural medication is used appropriately to promote the best possible welfare for dogs in our care.
What does this role do?
As a Veterinary Behaviourist, you’ll advise on the use of psychoactive medication and the relationship between physical health, physiology and behaviour. Working alongside Behaviour and Veterinary colleagues, you’ll help shape effective rehabilitation plans, contribute to welfare reviews, and support key assessment and decision-making processes within rehoming centres.
You’ll play a key role in implementing and monitoring medication approval systems, overseeing data collection and reporting, and supporting staff development through training, case reviews and CPD. You’ll also collaborate with veterinary teams to promote best practice in Veterinary Behavioural Medicine, both internally and across the wider profession, all while helping to ensure the highest standards of welfare for dogs in our care.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this position you’ll have hands-on experience working with dogs displaying a wide range of behavioural needs, alongside a solid understanding of training, rehabilitation and behaviour modification. Passionate about improving outcomes for dogs and their owners, you’ll confidently use management strategies, behavioural therapy and appropriate medication to support welfare-led care.
You’ll be an excellent communicator, comfortable working with veterinary colleagues and specialist teams, and able to produce clear, detailed behavioural reports. Well organised and self-motivated, you’ll manage your own workload, contribute to the wider aims of Dogs Trust, and represent the organisation through workshops, mentoring and CPD presentations. Due to travel requirements a full UK driving licence is essential.

As Deputy Supported Housing Manager, you will play a central role in our Eastbourne and Hailsham services - supported accommodation for young people aged 16–25 who are at risk of homelessness. Our services operate 24/7 to provide a safe, stable home where young people can feel understood, encouraged and supported. You will be based at our Eastbourne Foyer, located in the heart of Eastbourne, where the service maintains strong connections with and contributes actively to the local community. The role also involves travel across Eastbourne and Hailsham to our other East Sussex sites.
Across our East Sussex sites, we work with around 50 young people, each with their own story, strengths, challenges and ambitions. Support Workers hold individual caseloads and meet regularly with residents to build support plans, celebrate progress, and set meaningful goals for the future. Your leadership will help create the environment where this work thrives - one where young people feel empowered and staff feel confident and supported.
In delivering the role, you will work closely with the Supported Housing Manager, while supporting the wider team to deliver consistent, compassionate support. You will be responsible for:
Service Provision: Supporting the Supported Housing Manager with the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification including compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and Ofsted regulations. Oversee the residents’ referral, interview and induction processes for all beds and ensure the Occupancy Agreements and House Rules are fully understood. Ensure the quality of accommodation that is provided, liaising with the Housing and Property Services team to complete estate inspections and health and safety risk assessments, and to turn around voids and organise repairs in line with organisational targets and statutory obligations. With the Supported Housing Manager ensure effective income collection for all beds, working closely with the Rents team to create a rent payment culture.
Leadership and People Management: Directly line manage team members, ensuring their service delivery, working culture and personal development mirror best practice. Ensuring the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions, whilst ensuring they are supported within safe and consistent boundaries.
General: Be a member of the out of hours ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality. Reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

Working Hours and Patterns:
- The work pattern covers 28 hours per week as follows:

We are seeking Family Support Worker to join the team in providing effective and efficient running of the Visitor Centre, Tea Bar, Play Area in the Prison Visits Hall, assist on Family Days to ensure prisoners and their families have a valuable visiting experience, improving the quality of visits for children, young people and families helping to maintain positive, healthy and supportive family relationships.
Ideally you will have experience of dealing with people in a customer service-based role and be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills sometimes under challenging circumstances whilst embracing a non-judgemental and empathetic work ethic.
For this post we are particularly looking for you to have experience of working in the catering/hospitality sector as it will focus on running/working in the Tea Bar.
