The Role
Located in Aylesbury, Kent House is a specialist residential centre providing continuing rehabilitation and specialist care and support for people with acquired brain injury (ABI). It forms part of the nationwide network of rehabilitation support services provided by Brainkind.
We will train you to provide personalised support to our adult residents. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life.
It is a really varied job, with all kinds of different activities to organise and participate in – both at Kent House and in the local Aylesbury community: art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, swimming, and countless others.

The Role
This role is based in Redford Court/Lodge, a 29-bed Service in Liverpool, the 29 beds are split over two buildings in a small cul-de-sac the main unit has 24 beds, 20 of which as flatlets and 4 self-contained flats, opposite this is a 5-bed unit Redford Court Lodge. Both provide rehabilitation to people with an acquired brain injury. It is a unique community where the people we support can address their cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties.
Last year, the average length of stay was 12 weeks. Redford Court also provides a continuing rehabilitation service for those with longer term needs, this addition to the service is facilitated by Redford Court Lodge
You will be trained on how best to provide personalised support to our service users. You will follow individual support plans to meet the needs and aspirations of each person. The focus is developing independent living skills: personal hygiene, meal preparation, exercise, leisure activities, socialising – the daily routine of regular life. Were service users have identified physical needs staff are required as needed, to provide hands on personal care which will involve bathing and attending to the individual's care on their behalf. All activities of this nature are fully assessed by Occupational therapists and physiotherapist depending on need, staff are then supported to follow guidance produced by the therapists with full involvement of the service user.
It is a really varied job, with an array of activities to organise and participate in – both at Redford Court/Lodge and in the local Liverpool community: art, crafts, music, sports, gardening, shopping, swimming, and countless others. The unit is a 20-minute bus drive from Liverpool city centre and the Albert dock.

Forward Trust is seeking a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Integrated Substance Misuse Service at HMP Send, a female training prison. Our service operates within an integrated health and well-being framework to provide tailored support for individuals with drug and alcohol issues.
You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver both psychosocial and clinical interventions, including the intensive 12-step abstinence-based treatment programme, Footsteps in Recovery (formerly RAPt Women’s Substance Dependence Treatment Programme – WSDTP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload, providing advice, guidance, and structured care plans.
- Conduct assessments, deliver 1:1 sessions, and facilitate group therapy.
- Deliver the intensive 12-step programme through group therapy, assignment reviews, workshops, step lectures, and individual counselling.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external agencies to support release planning and community reintegration.
- Contribute to organisational and service targets set by Forward and local commissioners.
- Commit to and complete the Drug and Alcohol Workforce Development Programme (DAWFDP), a 12-month structured professional development programme aligned with the OHID capability framework.
Essential Criteria:
- Thorough knowledge of and commitment to the 12-step recovery process.
- Experience providing counselling to prisoners or individuals with drug or alcohol problems.
- Experience working in a 12-step primary care programme.
- Skilled in CBT and motivational counselling techniques.
- Experienced in conducting assessments and designing SMART care plans.
- Possession of a recognised counselling qualification, or ongoing attendance on a recognised counselling course.
Desirable:
- Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.

Consultant: Qualitative Deep Dive Study: Homa Bay/Migori Project in Kenya
We are seeking a consultant to help Hand in Hand conduct a qualitative deep dive study with participants of one of our projects in Migori and Homa Bay counties, Kenya. This study will seek to answer a set of research questions (see below), with Hand in Hand participants, related to the application of Circular Economy and Regenerative Agriculture (CERA) techniques, their experience of the programme and the outcomes of the programme, with particular focus on income and other external factors affecting the performance of on-farm and off-farm enterprises.
The person/firm we’re looking for will be experienced working with communities in Kenya as part of research or evaluation studies, skilled in rapid qualitative assessment, sampling, data collection and analysis and with experience of women’s economic empowerment or livelihood programming in international development. Accommodation Manager Maternity Cover – 12 months £46-48k per annum We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful applicant will lead a small team to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service for students, staff, and stakeholders. The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of all of Keble’s accommodation services. This includes oversight of accommodation for Fellows and students across Parks Road and the HB Allen Centre (HBAC); EMBA and MMPM students; and all commercial group, B&B, and guest/alumni bookings. The successful candidate will be confident engaging with and presenting to a range of University, College, and external stakeholders, and possess strong management skills. About the Role:
The support worker provides flexible support to children, young people and their families within both group environments (building based and community based)
They will work with young people and children aged 8-25 years with Autism Spectrum Conditions and associated disabilities to help develop individual skills and confidence in all aspects of daily life, including building positive relationships, activities, leisure and social skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
· To support children and young people who attend our groups to remove barriers so that they can engage as fully as possible in order to benefit from the group objectives and realise their abilities.
· To support children and young people to engage in activities that broaden their opportunities to be part of their local community.
· To work closely with the Group Lead and other Support Workers to provide a safe and enjoyable group environment for the children, young people and their families.
· Develop close professional relationships with colleagues, children and young people and maintain up-to date picture of the individual needs of each service user.
· To provide personal care if required to children and young people where needed whilst maintaining the dignity of the individual.
· To support children and young people to attend the groups by providing support prior and after sessions where needed for individuals.
· To provide support to the Group Lead to document and reflect on group sessions.
· To comply fully with Aspens Charities expected practices and procedures including Child Safeguarding.
· To conduct yourself at all times in a way that represents the values and principles of Aspens.

Job Opportunity
As Lead Care and Support Worker, you will assist the management team in the supervision of staff, by providing regular one-to-one supervisions and annual appraisals. You will also:
- Ensure that the highest standard of essential and routine care is delivered at all times
- Be responsible for completing assessments of the residents within the service, write and regularly review person-centred care plans and risk assessments
- Co-operate with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other health professionals
