- Collecting 2nd hand furniture and donating it to people in financial crisis, as well as selling it at low cost.

About the role:

Role Overview
The purpose of the post is to manage and lead the day-to-day operations, business development and visitor experience at Anderton Boat Lift and Visitor Centre. The Visitor Services Manager (VSM) will lead the site team at Anderton (colleagues and volunteers) on a day to day basis to focus on the visitor offer, striving for excellence in experience, achieving financial sustainability around income generation and charitable giving and delivering a consistently high-class visitor welcome across the board. This includes managing a range of front of house functions including food and beverage, retail, events and commercial boat trips. The Visitor Services Manager plays a central role in overseeing, coordinating and championing the experience of every visitor from site presentation, to large/small scale events and programming, making the site a must-see attraction, acclaimed internationally, nationally and loved locally.
As a key member of the Destinations and Attractions Management Team the VSM will work strategically with colleagues in other attractions and with other teams within the Trust such as, Operations, Fundraising, Collections, Marketing and Volunteering teams amongst others to promote, drive and deliver excellence in customer service and a visitor centred approach. The VSM will work collaboratively with teams and volunteers to ensure focused visitor activity which will help build our audiences and increase visitor footfall whilst building engagement for the Trust brand.

Choir Accompanist
Canbury Singers
Canbury Singers (registered charity 1182027) is a community based choir in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Formed in 2007, as part of the Canbury Arts Trust, by a small group of locals who just wanted to sing, the choir has grown into a 40 strong group of enthusiastic and dedicated singers with a good reputation. Canbury Singers is an affiliated member of Making Music.
We are a friendly, fun loving choir without an audition process comprising a range of members from sight readers to those re-starting singing after some years. We meet on a Monday night (8:15pm-9.45pm) and look to perform two concerts a year together with a few charity and Christmas events including two socials. Members have an eclectic musical interest ranging from choral, religious and secular to jazz and stage musical genres, taking in African-American spirituals, European folk songs and sea shanties along the way. The choir is managed by an active committee who work closely with their Musical Director, Bethan Williams, on repertoire and performance planning.
Responsibilities of the Accompanist
The accompanist would work closely with the Musical Director, Bethan Williams, and assist Bethan in rehearsals by accompanying the choir and taking sectionals when required. They are expected to attend all rehearsals, and to coordinate deputies when necessary. The successful candidate may be invited to take part in Canbury Singers concerts as and when needed, with renumeration at the standard rate (please see below).
Person specification
The successful candidate will be an excellent musician who can demonstrate:
• Accompaniment from piano reduction and standard accompaniment parts proficiently in a sympathetic manner
• An excellent standard of sight-reading
• Support for the choir by score-reading vocal parts
• Harmonisation of warm-up exercises and vocal parts

We’re looking for an experienced Female Waking Night Support Worker to provide overnight support to a woman in her 20s who lives in a supported living flat with access to a shared garden. She has autism, ADHD, epilepsy, and experiences anxiety, so a calm and reassuring approach is essential.
She’s musical, creative, and full of personality. She loves going to clubs, playing guitar, making cards and models, and attending music events and parties. She enjoys pub lunches, walks, and spending time with her family. She’s sensitive and expressive, with a love of bright colours and all things artistic.
You’ll provide overnight support to help her feel safe and settled, offering reassurance and encouragement as needed. While she’s independent, she may need prompting with routines and emotional support. You’ll monitor wellbeing, respond to any needs during the night, and help maintain a peaceful environment.
About You
You’ll have previous experience supporting people with autism, epilepsy, and complex needs. You’ll be patient, adaptable, and confident in providing person-centred support during waking nights. Strong communication skills and the ability to create a calm environment are essential.
