Full time hours are 35 per week, and the rate of pay is currently £13.39 per hour.
Job Opportunity
As Lead Care and Support Worker, you will assist the management team in the supervision of staff, by providing regular one-to-one supervisions and annual appraisals. You will also:
- Ensure that the highest standard of essential and routine care is delivered at all times
- Be responsible for completing assessments of the residents within the service, write and regularly review person-centred care plans and risk assessments
- Co-operate with doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and other health professionals
- Maintain standards in the safe custody of medication, including auditing, stock management and administration
- Maintain and complete clear and comprehensive records

Essential Skills
Our ideal Lead Care and Support Worker will:
- Have direct or indirect experience of disability or supporting those with disabilities
- Be able to communicate clearly with our residents, adapting to their individual requirements
- Possess good computer skills
- Ideally hold Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, and be willing to work towards Level 4.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and with other colleagues of Strode Park Foundation in a collaborative and engaging way
Although not essential, it would be an advantage if you have:

Part Time Accommodation Support Officer- (Hastings)
Job Role
Join our team as an Accommodation Support Officer and support our participants with their housing needs.
You’ll work with a caseload of adult males either residing within a custody environment or on license within the community. environment. In partnership with probation practitioners, you’ll complete initial assessments to understand their specific needs, and then create tailored accommodation plans to meet this through an agreed number of interventions. This will include ensuring that the participants are aware of any decisions that affect them, plus informing them of their rights within the process.

We deliver a range of MOJ Commissioned Rehabilitative services (CRS) directly for Probation in three key areas: Accommodation, Personal Wellbeing and Dependency & Recovery. Accommodation is delivered in Wales, Dependency and Recovery in London and Humberside, Personal Wellbeing in East of England, Sussex, Surrey and as a subcontractor in Kent and Cheshire.
These services work with Men 18+ who are under probation supervision, supporting them to navigate through their desired outcomes in order to achieve transformational change, break the cycle of offending and achieve long-term integration into society.

Roles Responsibilities
As a Recovery Navigator in the Dependency and Recovery Services, you will be working within a hybrid model as part of a flexible, multi-disciplinary team, working in person and travelling across the probation delivery units which covers the region of: Southwark, Croydon, Lambeth. You will be based in Borough, Croydon, Brixton probation offices. Some work may be delivered virtually, however this is an in-person service.
The service is designed to improve engagement of Person(s) on Probation into treatment services and ‘bridge the gap’ between probation and substance misuse services in the community by offering practical assistance and ongoing support through a range of timebound, enforceable and motivational interventions.
You will carry a diverse caseload of adult male prison leavers and those on community orders within the National Probation Service, supporting to implement their action plan and navigate their recovery journey. You will be responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, creating a collaborative action plan and delivering one to one, group work/virtual sessions, whilst maintaining accurate record keeping throughout.
Your role is to successfully navigate these men on their recovery journey by providing:
- Support and advocacy e.g. including physical help with referral forms, face-to-face negotiations with a wide range of other providers, attending appointments with them or taking steps on their behalf, for example making phone-calls and onward referrals.
- Advice, guidance and information e.g. Information via a variety of forms (including printed documents, one to one session, group session, online session or a combination of any of the above) but must be provided in a way that enables the Person(s) on Probation to act on the information given and should form part of a wider package of support offered.
- Deliver interventions to empower and upskill Person(s) on Probation to enable understanding and management of their Dependency and Recovery needs.
Some degree of flexibility may be required if out of office work is required, but this is a predominantly a Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 role.
All probation-based roles will require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting. Please note this process can take up to 3-6 weeks. All offers are subject to receiving both HMPPS vetting and DBS clearances.

Working in the HOPE team is an exciting and varied role that combines outreach, community engagement, and harm reduction. The team works across the city, building relationships with individuals and communities who may be difficult to engage. The role involves providing practical support through the needle and syringe programme, working alongside people with complex needs, and promoting safer practices. The service provides high support housing to service users with enduring mental health backgrounds. The service consists of 8 flats and offers a full recovery and rehabilitation package to our service users.
We aim to support and assess on-going needs of our service users to build on their existing skills while learning new ones. All service users are allocated to a named Support Worker. Service users are required to fully participate in the process of planning their care, which includes attending support/key work sessions with staff; this time is for clients to discuss any issues or areas of concern they may have, or perhaps go out for a coffee/trip to local activities, or be supported with a practical task in their flat such as cleaning or laundry.
Role Responsibility
You will provide recovery focused support to service users in accordance with their support plans. You will have well-honed skills in positive communication, engagement, and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for service users.
You will have the maturity to work within a positive framework supporting clients. You will have the ability to deliver services and interventions in a person centred, non-judgmental manner, and recovery-based way.
You will work alongside members of the service user’s circle of support, to enable individuals to be happy, healthy, and successful in achieving their life goals.
Your typical duties will include:
- providing support and guidance to service users
- administering medication
- daily record keeping and incident report writing
- running group activities
- help with inducting new staff members
- upholding the cleanliness of the service to adhere to infection prevention control measures

This role is part time 30 hours a week.
Role Responsibility
The main purpose of the role is to assist individuals to address and de-escalate their mental health crisis in a safe, friendly, non-clinical setting. You will deliver a high quality person centred service in line with the service specification and will work as part of a team.
In a role where no two shifts are the same, you will take referrals and assess new service users presenting with a mental health crisis, deliver support sessions, and facilitate informal group work and other therapeutic activities. You will also support and enable our service users to make informed choices about their future. Further duties include recording of service user information for reporting purposes and in line with GDPR, liaising with other health professionals, contributing to the safeguarding of vulnerable people, and ensuring that the premises are maintained in line with essential health and safety standards.
The Ideal Candidate
You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge, experience and values essential to working in the mental health sector. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor the message to the audience. Experience of supporting people with a range of other issues such as housing, drugs, alcohol, relationship problems would be beneficial. Full training is provided in order for the successful candidate to work safely, to learn and develop within the role and beyond.
The successful applicant will be required to work a varied rota that will include day shifts, weekends and the occasional night shift. Travel to and from shifts during unsocial hours is acknowledged as a potential difficulty, and so taxi fares are covered when reasonable and justifiable.
You will be confident in working with information technology on a range of software applications.
You will be able to deliver interventions in a person centred, non-judgemental manner. You will have the ability to deal effectively and calmly with challenging situations.
Driven and passionate, you won't have a problem with multitasking and dealing with conflicting deadlines and crisis situations. And of course, as a Recovery Worker, you'll love talking to people with different needs, be genuinely interested in helping them, possess a deep level of empathy, have great listening skills, and understanding and patience for people suffering from an acute mental health crisis.

The Role
You’ll be supporting a small number of specific young people across the week, so flexibility is essential. The hours currently required are:
- Monday: 8am – 12 noon
- Tuesday: 8am – 9am
- Thursday: 8am – 11am
- Friday: 8am – 11am
- Saturday: 3.5 hours (time to be confirmed)
- Plus 7 hours (afterschool times, day varies)
This role involves driving, so you must hold a full UK driving licence.
Applicants must also have the Right to Work in the UK, as we cannot provide Certificates of Sponsorship.
Training will be provided where needed — we simply ask for someone who learns quickly, shows initiative, and is eager to grow.

Oak house is a mental health crisis recovery house. We offer support for those in crisis from a range of 3-7 days. We are a five bedroom facility, with 24 hour staffing. Day staff work in a shift pattern of earlies, days and lates. Waking night staff cover a ten hour period.
The people we support are central to everything we do. Each person who uses our services is a unique individual and they all deserve to be treated as such. As such, the responsibilities may vary from day to day.

About the service:
Bay Tree House – Heysham, Lancashire Recovery House is a mental health crisis unit in Morecambe. We are working to a recovery model, and are accessed by referral as either hospital preventions, step down, respite and crisis point support. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a 24hour staffed service to our residents aged 16 and upwards.
About the role:
As a Day Recovery Worker, you will liaise with clinical teams to discuss referrals and clinical presentation of people using our services and make referral decisions based on this. You will support individuals who present in a range of ways, including low mood, depression, anxiety, mania, voice hearing, delusions, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts to develop their own coping strategies to deal with crisis situations. You will also participate in a group work programme to assist people using our services to deal with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, or physical abuse.
You will attend home visits, virtual and/or phone calls with people accessing the service.
Additionally, there could be a possibility to take on additional smaller groups if needed, to support the service.
About you:
It is important is that you have a caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team

Steam House Cafes are purpose designed mental health crisis cafes across Norfolk & Suffolk. We offer a unique and safe cafe-styled space with a fully-trained multi-disciplinary team, offering holistic support to adults experiencing mental health crisis – day and night.
Drawing on experiences and learnings from decades of assistance to those most vulnerable in our community, STEAM provides clients with a calming and informed environment beneficial to their needs.
Each cafe provides guidance, support and personalised pathway plans, which are mindfully coproduced over a period of time with our team, to enhance future wellbeing for the client.
Main Responsibilities:
- To work in conjunction with managers and other key agencies in developing both policy and associated practice that meet the combined needs of the client group
- To provide individual and bespoke support, information, signposting and access to appropriate and relevant services for those wishing to access the crisis hub
- To be involved in supporting those who have low resilience and are at risk of, or are experiencing a mental health crisis
- To liaise with managers or other appropriate persons to ensure the safety of clients and staff
