As a Research Associate at the Franklin, you will bring scientific knowledge and skills to deliver a specific research project and/or you will bring independent, creative science, or specific skills to a team delivering a project or program. The successful candidate will exploit advanced cryogenic correlative imaging approaches to dissect the molecular, structural, and biophysical mechanisms governing HIV maturation and early entry. In collaboration with the group of Sergi Padilla at Kings College, you will combine time-resolved FLIM/FRET measurements employing custom-engineered biosensors with cryo-electron tomography and high-resolution structural analysis to resolve dynamic conformational and assembly processes during viral maturation, thereby delivering new mechanistic insights into HIV infectivity. The direction of the project will be to push this nascent correlative technique into the cell, potentially into tissues, to enable lifetime-based correlation of features within the cell.

What you’ll do:
As an Education Assistant, you’ll support the delivery of personalised learning both in and out of the classroom. Working closely with teachers, therapists and care teams, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils to access learning, communication and therapies throughout the school day
- Providing hands-on personal care, including hygiene routines, toileting and changing, in line with safeguarding and dignity standards
- Assisting with mobility needs, including using specialist equipment and following manual handling guidelines
- Encouraging independence, boosting self-esteem and helping each learner achieve their personal goals
- Supporting inclusion in lessons and activities such as swimming, outings, and riding sessions
- Acting as a link worker, advocating for the individual needs of a learner and sharing updates with the wider team

We currently have the post of Merchandising Assistant available.
The Merchandising team plays a vital role in ensuring retail products are available in the right place, at the right time, and in the correct quantities. Working closely with Retail Managers, the team forecasts trends, plans stock levels, and monitors performance to keep our retail operations running smoothly.
As part of the Retail division, the team directly impacts profitability through effective product selection, pricing strategies to maximise profit, and stock management. Their responsibilities include overseeing deliveries and distribution, liaising with suppliers, managing the EPOS system and purchasing budget, and collaborating with operational teams to plan promotions and markdowns.
Reporting to the Merchandising Team Leader and Merchandising Manager, the Merchandising Assistant will support efforts to maximise sales across Commercial Enterprises’ retail outlets and online shop. In this role, you’ll provide excellent customer service, manage incoming deliveries, and assist with the day-to-day running of the online store.

What You’ll Do:

What we’re looking for:
