- For all of our roles you will need to work as part of a team providing support to victims of domestic abuse.
- Our offices are all busy environments and an ability to react and adapt to challenging situations is key to supporting all victims in a professional and supportive way.
- You will also be required to take part in an on call rota.
- A good knowledge of the causes and effects of domestic abuse would be advantageous as well as being organised and able to prioritise safety.
- Domestic Abuse Safety Unit (DASU) has offices across Wrexham, Flintshire, Conwy and Denbighshire and supports over 6000 men, women, children and young people every year.

Job Role
To work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and support individuals identifying with mental health to reduce barriers to accessing support by establishing working partnerships.
To provide practical and emotional support to individuals who are experiencing domestic abuse through both face to face and telephone support. To develop individual support plans which address the risk of harm, and to offer information, advocacy and sign-posting on a risk and needs led basis. Empower the client and assist them in recognising the dynamics of domestic abuse and support them to recover and regain control of their lives

Salary £14.10 per hour
Work location: 1 Vacancy Wrexham – 1 Vacancy Conwy and Denbighshire
This role will lead on delivering, activity sessions, 1-1 support sessions and facilitating a peer support programme to children and young people who have experienced of been affected by domestic abuse Delivery of these sessions and programmes will: – Improve the emotional and physical well-being of the children and young people involved – Reduce participants levels of distress and – Enable children and young people to be better able to manage their emotions and behaviours.
