Together is a national charity that works alongside people with mental health issues on their journey towards leading independent and fulfilling lives.
Our Liaison and Diversion (L&D) services work in partnership with NHS England to improve the health and justice outcomes for people who come into contact with the criminal justice system.
We are looking for people to become Peer Supports who will use their lived experience of mental distress and the criminal justice system to support others with similar experiences towards better wellbeing.

DEPUTY SERVICE MANAGER - EAST
As a Deputy Service Manager at NIHCSS
- Asa Deputy Service Manager at NIHCSS you will be supporting the Service Manager and will be responsible for nurturing and inspiring those coming to work for NIHCSS to help ensure we have the best staff team, offering the best support services.
- Asthe Deputy Service Manager you will also support the Service Manager to oversee a supported living service.

About the role
- Alongsidethe Service Manager, you are responsible and accountable for monitoring, maintaining and providing the highest standards of service delivery, while promoting independence and choice to the people supported in the service.
- Youwill support the Service Manager to manage and ensure the delivery of the service’s key quality and safety priorities by holding delegated responsibility in key areas of the day-to-day running of the supported living service.
- Youwill also have delegated responsibility for the direct supervision and line management of a team of support workers.
- Asa senior member of the team, you will promote and lead good practice at all times.
- Afull UK driving licence, with access to your own vehicle, is essential for the role.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
About you
- Youwill have significant, recent experience of line management/supervision of staff in the field of mental health or social care
- Youwill possess the relevant qualification in the field of housing, social work or similar profession or have the relevant experience
- Youwill need to have knowledge of Housing Legislation and experience of liaising with councils
- Youwill have the ability to lead and manage people and be a role model in all aspects of people leadership, especially performance

Relief Support worker

Service- Hopewell House provides compassionate support to individuals experiencing complex mental health issues, driven by an enthusiastic, professional staff team dedicated to providing person centred care.
The support delivered is tailored to and developed with an individual encompassing all aspects of wellbeing including mental, physical, spiritual and daily living skills. Our goal is to increase independence and feelings of accomplishment & assisting people to move on to more independent living.
The service is run in collaboration with service users, encouraging feedback and involvement in all areas of decision making.
Hopewell House is a supported accommodation service based close to Guilford town centre.
The service accommodates 10 residents & a variety of activities are held daily to encourage service user participation to develop skills, learn new coping strategies and to arouse new interests.
The service is staffed 24 hours with one member of staff sleeping in overnight (for which an additional allowance is paid).
Key Responsibilities
To support people who use the service, Contribute to teamwork and Activities.
As a Relief Support worker you will be responsible for key working residents, supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations, working on a one to one basis or providing support in the form of group activities. As well as assisting in the day to day running of the home. - Experience of liaison and negotiation with health and social care professionals. Ability to check, challenge and negotiate with people at all levels of seniority
- Ability to work flexibly to meet varying demands on the service
- Excellent communication skills – orally and written
- Access to appropriate transport to enable effective access to services & service users that are geographically dispersed, i.e. essential car user
- Competency in the use of basic IT: Word, Excel and databases
- An understanding of discrimination and its effects
- Evidence of training and learning and a commitment to self-development
- Hold, or be willing to complete within 12 months, the Independent Advocacy Qualification with IMHA/IMCA/DOLS/CAA specialism
- Ability to work independently, on own initiative and prioritise workload while working as part of a team

- Knowledge and practical experience of delivering high quality support to people experiencing mental distress.
- Experience of supervising people and teams and monitoring people’s performance. Leads the development of a culture which encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
- Able to establish and sustain local partnerships, developing creative ways to work together with other partner organisations. Acts at all times as an ambassador for Together.
- Commitment to the empowerment of people using services and promoting people's rights. Ensuring that people who use Together’s services have opportunities to develop the services they use.
- Ability to liaise and communicate well, both orally and in writing, with health professionals, general public, other providers and be assertive where necessary.
- Able to understand and convey complex service specifications and deliverables to direct reports.
- Knowledge and practical experience of using person-centred tools to support recovery and development of service users, as well as the ability to transfer such knowledge and any associated skills to direct reports.
- Good computer literacy including the ability to use Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable
- Degree level qualification in mental health work (eg Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Registered Mental Nurse or Social Worker).
- Experience of managing a large team within Mental Health Accommodation services.

Cleaner
As a Cleaner at Together for Mental Wellbeing, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for the people who use our services. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, you’ll help ensure that staff, visitors, and service users feel supported in a space that promotes wellbeing and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Responsibilities
To clean all communal areas within the house as detailed below:
- Residents' lounges
- Residents' dining room
- Residents' and staff toilets
- Residents' bathroom and shower rooms
- All halls, stairways and landings
- The staff office
- Residents' bedrooms at the discretion of the residents and staff as required
- Washing down the walls and paintwork of any of these areas, as required.
The work to be carried out in these areas will include:
- Vacuuming all carpets
- Sweeping and polishing all floor areas
- Dusting and polishing all other surfaces
- Cleaning and disinfecting all communal toilets, baths, showers and sinks
- Emptying and cleaning all ashtrays.
To clean and put away all cleaning utensils.
To keep all cleaning cupboards clean and tidy.
To report any breakages or necessary replacements to the senior staff.
To report any hazards to safety or hygiene to senior staff.
To co-operate with staff and residents in maintaining the care ethos of the project.
Extra cleaning to be undertaken during COVID-19 outbreak. All door handles, bannisters, communal remote controls, light-switches, bathroom handles and levers all to be disinfected daily and relevant paperwork completed.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- An awareness of the need to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, hygiene and safety throughout the house – especially during COVID-19 outbreak.
- An appreciation that the house represents the home of the residents and is not simply a place of work.
- A willingness to work alongside residents in shared cleaning tasks, as appropriate.
- A willingness to undertake job related training as identified by the Manager.
- Sensitivity towards people with special needs.
- An appreciation of the need for confidentiality.

Criminal Justice Data Administrator
We have a key role available in our award-winning Criminal Justice (CJ) service
As Data Administrator, you will be supporting our large team of mental health professionals and volunteers, who work in different criminal justice settings and in the community across London, with their data management and reporting needs.
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Developing, improving and maintaining databases
- Implementing database change
- Evaluating and monitoring the FMHP service, in line with internal and external requirements
We take great pride in the work we do as a charity working with people who have experienced multiple disadvantage, and you will be supporting our efforts to maintain high-quality services and ensure that staff have the resources they need for their roles.
We’ve seen impressive growth over the last two years, extending our remit of work, and this is something we’re highly motivated to continue.
This is a part-time (22.5 hrs a week) fixed-term contract (till 31.3.2026) with the potential for extension subject to funding.
- Salary: £15,851
- Location: National office in Kennington, South London (inclusive of £2178 geographical allowance or fully remote)
Key Responsibilities
Key Functions of This Role
- Be responsible for developing, improving and maintaining databases, as well as implementing database change
- Develop, maintain, review and improve relevant administrative and financial systems and services, to ensure all requirements (internal and external) are met
- Facilitate project mapping including funding, developments and partnerships
- Make and record payments, invoices with regard to Together’s policies and procedures
- Evaluate and monitor the Criminal Justice service, in line with internal and external requirements, through the coordination and collation of information submitted and dissemination to key partners and relevant internal departments
- Contribute to effective service user involvement including contact with service users
